An apparatus, system and method to purify water is disclosed. In addition, the apparatus, system and method can effectively discharge the brine effluent. The apparatus can comprise an offshore structure, wherein the offshore structure comprises a water intake device connected to a pre-desalination filters connected to a plurality of reverse osmosis filters in communication with a purified water line and effluent discharge device. A plurality of filters for filtering the water from the intake, filter the water to remove solid contaminated before running the filtered water through the reverse osmosis system to the discharge device and purified water lines. Herein also disclosed is a wastewater discharge system. In an embodiment, the system comprises a control panel that controls, the offshore structure plurality of filters, plurality of reverse osmosis filters, purified water line and effluent discharge device, to achieve favorable water purification. Herein also described is a method that utilizes the apparatus and/or system disclosed herein. In an embodiment, the method comprises: obtaining an offshore structure comprising a water purification system, flowing water into an inlet device, pumping the water through a filtration system, flowing the filtered water through a plurality of reverse osmosis filters; flowing purified water through a purified water line; and flowing discharge effluent through a discharge device.

An apparatus, system and method to purify water is disclosed. In addition, the apparatus, system and method can effectively discharge the brine effluent. A reverse osmosis treatment device includes: a first pressure vessel for treating an untreated water to produce a primarily treated water and a first permeated water; a second pressure vessel for treating the primarily treated water to produce a secondarily treated water and a second permeated water; a first cleaning solution tank for storing a first cleaning solution for cleaning the first pressure vessel; and a second cleaning solution tank for storing a second cleaning solution for cleaning the second pressure vessel. Each of the first pressure vessel and the second pressure vessel has therein a reverse osmosis membrane element having a reverse osmosis membrane. The first cleaning solution tank is connected to the first concentrate outlet pipe of the first pressure vessel, and the second cleaning solution tank is connected to the inlet pipe for the primarily treated water of the second pressure vessel.

A two-stage electrodialysis system and a method for recovering waste CO.sub.2-lean amine solvent are provided. The system includes an amine solution pretreatment filtering system, a C-A homogeneous membrane electrodialysis device, a BP-A bipolar membrane electrodialysis system, and a CO.sub.2 recovery and capture system. The C-A homogeneous membrane electrodialysis system includes a material chamber, a C-A homogeneous membrane electrodialysis device, a concentrated HSSs waste solution chamber, an electrode solution chamber, and corresponding pipelines and peristaltic pumps. The BP-A bipolar membrane electrodialysis system includes a secondary feed chamber, a BP-A bipolar membrane electrodialysis device, an acid liquor chamber, an electrode solution chamber, and corresponding pipelines and peristaltic pumps. The waste CO.sub.2-lean amine solvent enters the material chamber after passing through the amine solution pretreatment filtering system. The concentrated HSSs waste solution chamber is connected to the secondary feed chamber by a buffer tank.

The present application provides a water treatment method, a water treatment device, and a slime inhibitor for membranes that are capable of, in water treatment using a separation membrane and a reverse osmosis membrane in the subsequent stage, inhibiting the generation of a slime both in the separation membrane and in the reverse osmosis membrane by a simple method. The water treatment method includes adding an iodine-based oxidizer to water to be treated, subjecting the water to be treated obtained during the adding of the iodine-based oxidizer to filtration with the separation membrane, and causing filtrated water obtained during the filtration to be separated with the reverse osmosis membrane into permeated water and concentrated water.
