The disclosure relates to devices and methods for extracorporeal conditioning of blood. Extracorporeal blood oxygenators and blood oxygenator components, such as conditioning modules, are described. An extracorporeal blood oxygenator includes a conditioning module having an external frame, an inlet cover, an outlet cover, and an internal chamber. A fiber assembly is disposed within the internal chamber and a potting material on the fiber assembly creates a circumferential seal that defines a passageway through the fiber assembly having a substantially circular cross-sectional shape. A fluid inlet is in fluid communication with the passageway, has a lumen that extends along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the fiber assembly, and has an internal curvilinear surface adjacent the fiber assembly. A fluid outlet on the opposite side of the fiber assembly also has a lumen that extends along an axis that is substantially perpendicular to the fiber assembly.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM WITH BIOCONTACTOR
20250223209 · 2025-07-10 ·

A water treatment system comprising a pressure vessel, vertically aligned separation elements within the vessel each having at least one porous UF or MF membrane, feed fluid passageways, a permeate fluid passageway, a concentrate removal port, and a biocontactor within the vessel that has biogrowth surfaces surrounding flow paths through the biocontactor. The flow paths have a median ratio of surface area to volume which exceeds 15 cm.sup.1. The pressure vessel also contains a pressure plate with holes which separates the vessel into two chambers, a first chamber containing membrane elements and a second chamber that contains the biocontactor. A sealing means contacting the pressure plate prevents fluid flow between the first chamber and second chamber except through the porous membranes.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CLEANING A DENTAL WATER SUPPLY

A system for removing a microbe from a liquid comprising: a housing; a microbial filter disposed within the housing; a disinfecting agent disposed in the housing. A flow of the liquid passes through the microbial filter and the disinfecting agent thereby trapping and/or killing the microbe, generating a cleaned liquid.

Hollow fiber module

A hollow fiber module includes hollow fiber cartridges. A port receives a second solution to be treated in a shell side volume and another port for discharging the treated second solution. A first end cap has an inlet for a first solution and a distributer for distributing the first solution to a first end of the hollow fiber cartridges. A second end cap has a collector for collecting the treated first solution from the second end of the hollow fiber cartridges and an outlet for the treated first solution. A first connector has an inlet for the second solution and a distributer for distributing the second solution to a port of the hollow fiber cartridges. A second connector has a collector for collecting the treated second solution from the other port of the hollow fiber cartridges and an outlet for the treated second solution.
