Filter assembly with self-contained disposable filter cartridge
A filtering device includes a two-piece housing and a disposable, self-contained filter cartridge. The filter cartridge includes a cylindrical filter with a specialized flow bypass endcap, and possibly a second differentiated endcap, wherein each endcap is coupled to opposing ends of the cylindrical filter. The flow bypass endcap includes two channels for the passage of fluids, one channel for the ingress of pre-filtered fluid another channel for egress of filtrate. The bottom endcap can block fluid flow into the end of the cylindrical filter. The filter cartridge includes an impermeable bladder which may be coupled to the outer surface of each endcap such that the bladder completely encloses the filter media. Fluid entering the system passes through ingress channel of the flow bypass endcap into bladder (which surrounds the filter and isolates the fluid from the filter housing).
Water purification device
A device (1) for purification of water driven by gravity through a purification unit between an upper dirt water container (2) and a lower clean water tank (3). A backwash system may be integrated, the system comprising a receptacle (8) for accumulation of the backwash water to prevent consumption thereof by mistake.
DISPOSABLE CELL REMOVAL SYSTEM
A filtration system, having a filtration unit comprising a housing with a sample inlet, a sample outlet, one or more valves, a first actuator, and a second actuator and a third actuator; and a cassette adapted to fit the filtration unit, the cassette having a filter; a first reservoir in fluid communication with the filter, the first reservoir being arranged to couple to the first actuator for imparting flow to a cell-containing solution in a first direction through the filter; a second reservoir in fluid communication with the filter, the second reservoir being arranged to couple to the second actuator for imparting flow to a cell-containing solution in a second direction through said filter, wherein the second direction opposes the first direction; and a third reservoir.

DESALINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A desalination system that is deployable in a body of water having a surface and a seafloor and which includes a vessel structure that is capable of travel in water, a reverse osmosis system disposed within an internal space of the vessel structure and a tank connected to the reverse osmosis system, the tank configured to receive filtered water from the reverse osmosis system. A positioning system is provided for controlling the travel of the vessel structure, and a ballast system is configured to control the buoyancy of the vessel structure. A controller is operably associated with the positioning system and the ballast system to control the position of the vessel below the surface of the body of water.
HOUSING ASSEMBLY AND WATER PURIFIER
The present invention provides a housing assembly and a water purifier applying the housing assembly. The housing assembly includes a housing assembly configured to receive a composite filter element of the water purifier, the housing assembly includes a housing, a pressing cover for covering or opening the housing, and a connecting element defined on the housing, the composite filter element is received in the housing and connected with the housing, and the top end of the composite filter element passes through the pressing cover, one end of the pressing cover is connected with the housing via the connecting element, and the pressing cover rotates relative to the housing around the connecting element, to cover or open the housing.
CARTRIDGE FOR FUEL CELL HUMIDIFIER, AND FUEL CELL HUMIDIFIER
The present invention relates to a cartridge for a fuel cell humidifier, and a fuel cell humidifier, the cartridge comprising: an inner case having both ends opened; a hollow fiber membrane bundle received in the inner case; an inner inlet and an inner outlet formed on the inner case so as to be spaced along a first axial direction; a first potting layer for fixing one end of the hollow fiber membrane bundle at one end of the inner case; and a second potting layer for fixing the other end of the hollow fiber membrane bundle at the other end of the inner case, wherein the packing density is 0.405 to 0.625 inclusive, the packing density being based on, with respect to a second axial direction perpendicular to the first axial direction, the potting cross-section of the inside of the one end of the inner case where the first potting layer is potted, and the membrane cross-section of the hollow fiber membrane bundle.
DISPOSABLE CELL REMOVAL SYSTEM
A cassette comprising: a first reservoir arranged to couple to a first actuator for imparting flow to a cell-containing solution in a first direction through a filter; a second reservoir arranged to couple to a second actuator for imparting flow to a cell-containing solution in a second direction through the filter; the filter being in fluid communication with the first and second reservoirs, and when connected to a filtration unit is in further fluid communication to a sample inlet, and a sample outlet; wherein, the cassette is disposable and housed by a connector being removeably adjoinable to the filtration unit, the filtration unit comprising the first and second actuators and one or more valves.
LATERALLY-FED MEMBRANE CHROMATOGRAPHY DEVICE
A method of forming a frame around a membrane stack for a laterally-fed membrane chromatography device is provided. The method includes placing a membrane stack having one or more membrane layers on a bottom surface of body of a master mold, the body having opposed side walls and opposed end walls, the opposed side walls spaced apart by a distance greater than a length of the membrane stack, the opposed end walls spaced apart by a distance greater than a width of the membrane stack; placing a cap on the body of the master mold to enclose the membrane stack in the master mold, the cap having at least one opening for injecting a material into a space defined by the end walls of the master mold, the side walls of the master mold, end walls of the membrane stack side walls of the membrane stack, the bottom surface of the body and an inner surface of the cap; injecting the material into the space around the membrane stack; and curing the material to form a frame around the membrane stack.
