A vehicle, such as a car, camper or van including a seat, is mounted in the vehicle, with a seat surface; and a carrier arranged close to the seat and mounted in the vehicle, and provided with a drive for adjusting the carrier between a first position, in which an edge of the carrier runs parallel to the main direction of travel of the vehicle and lies in line with and adjoins the seat surface of the seat, and a second position in which, relative to the first position, this edge of the carrier is arranged at a distance from the seat surface in a direction transversely of the seat surface. Wheelchair
A wheelchair includes a seating portion on which a wheelchair user sits, a body frame that supports the seating portion, a pair of rear wheels and a pair of front wheels rotatably supported by the body frame, and a seat back portion capable of changing the inclination angle with respect to the seating portion. The wheelchair includes push-along handle portions as engaging portions capable of fixing the seat back portion to a side sill as a vehicle body member that forms a door opening of the vehicle when the seat back portion is tilted backward of the wheelchair.
Wheelchair
A wheelchair includes a seating portion on which a wheelchair user sits, a body frame that supports the seating portion, a pair of rear wheels and a pair of front wheels rotatably supported by the body frame, and a seat back portion capable of changing the inclination angle with respect to the seating portion. The wheelchair includes push-along handle portions as engaging portions capable of fixing the seat back portion to a side sill as a vehicle body member that forms a door opening of the vehicle when the seat back portion is tilted backward of the wheelchair.
Loading system
A loading system for loading a wheelchair into a rear loading space of a vehicle includes at least one loading device disposable on the vehicle. The loading system has at least one first coupling unit disposable on a rear side of a backrest of the wheelchair and fixable to the wheelchair. The loading device has at least one second coupling unit capable of being coupled to the first coupling unit, at least one telescopic loading arm which at an end portion is connected to the coupling unit pivotable about a free pivot axis, and at least one pivot bearing fastenable to a front side end portion of the loading space, by which a pivot bearing the loading arm at another end portion is connected pivotable about a locationally-fixed pivot axis that runs parallel with and spaced apart from the free pivot axis transverse to a vehicle longitudinal direction.
AMBULANCE COT AND LOADING AND UNLOADING SYSTEM
An ambulance cot loading and unloading system for an emergency vehicle includes a base for mounting in the emergency vehicle and an arm mounted for linear movement along the base, wherein the arm configured to support a cot while the cot is being loaded into or unloaded from the emergency vehicle. The ambulance cot loading and unloading system further includes an indicator mounted relative to the arm and a control system, which is in communication with the indicator and configured to generate a status indication of the cot loading and unloading system at the indicator.
RIDE VEHICLE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A passenger transfer system in accordance with present embodiments includes a mobile chair having a base portion with a plurality of wheels and a chair portion configured to support a passenger. The passenger transfer system further includes an elevation adjustment system and a transfer device. The elevation adjustment system is configured to adjust a height of the chair portion relative to the base portion. The transfer device is configured to extend laterally from an edge of the chair portion. The transfer device is further configured to support the passenger as the passenger transfers from the chair portion to a ride seat of a ride vehicle of an attraction of an amusement park.
RIDE VEHICLE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A transfer device configured to support a passenger for transfer from a mobile chair to a ride seat of a ride vehicle includes a frame coupled to a seating portion, where the seating portion is configured to support the passenger. The transfer device includes at least one wheel coupled to the frame. The transfer device also includes a mounting bracket coupled to the frame and configured to reversibly engage with the ride vehicle. In an engaged configuration, the transfer device is coupled to the ride vehicle such that a seating pan of the seating portion is aligned with the ride seat of the ride vehicle. The transfer device, when engaged, is configured to travel with the ride vehicle while the ride vehicle travels along a track.
RIDE VEHICLE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A transfer device configured to support a passenger for transfer from a mobile chair to a ride seat of a ride vehicle includes a frame coupled to a seating portion, where the seating portion is configured to support the passenger. The transfer device includes at least one wheel coupled to the frame. The transfer device also includes a mounting bracket coupled to the frame and configured to reversibly engage with the ride vehicle. In an engaged configuration, the transfer device is coupled to the ride vehicle such that a seating pan of the seating portion is aligned with the ride seat of the ride vehicle. The transfer device, when engaged, is configured to travel with the ride vehicle while the ride vehicle travels along a track.
Portable lifting and transferring techniques
Portable lifting and transferring techniques for assisting in the mobility of disabled persons are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a portable lifting and transferring apparatus for assisting disabled persons that is compact, lightweight, and portable for use in different locations. Preferably, such an apparatus would provide multiple pivot points for providing multiple degrees of maneuvering freedom when lifting and transferring disabled persons and/or their mobility devices and for providing compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. The techniques may also be realized in other embodiments as disclosed herein.
