The heat exchanger receives desalinated water from the ejector and from the feed spray. The water line carries desalinated water from the heat exchanger. The first outlet passes concentrated brine, and the first inlet receives feed water to be desalinated.
SWRO and MCDI coupled seawater desalination device system with energy recovery
The present invention discloses an SWRO and MCDI coupled seawater desalination device system with energy recovery, including a pre-filtering unit, an SWRO treatment unit, an MCDI treatment unit, and a post-filtering unit. The SWRO treatment unit is coupled with the MCDI treatment unit. Seawater desalination is performed through a coupling complementary water passage and circuit design, while water quality is improved, and the continuity of water output from a water passage of the device is kept. By recovering the pressure potential energy of high-pressure brine in the SWRO treatment unit and electric energy released by desorption in the MCDI treatment unit, energy consumption is reduced.
COMPACT WATER FILTRATION DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for filtering water comprising the use of a pump (14) to supply a filtering means (17), said supply being performed by simultaneous suction, for example by the same pump (14), through an ultrafiltration module (12).
Blood treatment systems
Dialyzer systems can consolidate multiple technologies and functionalities of blood treatment systems in a significantly integrated fashion. For example, this disclosure describes dialyzer systems that include a magnetically driven and magnetically levitating pump rotor integrated into the dialyzer. Such a dialyzer can be used with treatment modules that include a magnetic field-generating pump drive unit. In some embodiments, the dialyzers include pressure sensor chambers with flexible membranes with which corresponding pressure transducers of the treatment modules can interface to detect arterial and/or venous pressures.
Brine dispersal system
A desalination brine dispersal apparatus and method employ airlift to remove, oxygenate and disperse brine from a desalination apparatus. The apparatus includes a brine removal conduit having a brine inlet that receives brine from the desalination apparatus, a plurality of brine outlets submerged in seawater and one or more air introduction points located at depths below the brine outlets. The supplied air oxygenates and moves brine through the brine removal conduit and outlets via airlift and disperses the brine into seawater away from the brine removal conduit. The apparatus avoids the formation of concentrated, high shear brine plumes and can disperse brine into seawater over a wide area well away from the brine removal conduit.
SELF-CLEANING WATER FILTER
A filtration apparatus for a container, the apparatus includes a connection portion for securing the apparatus to the container; a housing; a hand pump attached to the housing, the hand pump comprising an inlet, an outlet, and a user-operated actuator, the hand pump is configured to pass filtered water through the inlet in a first direction towards the outlet of the hand pump during a first stroke of the user-operated actuator, and in both the first direction and in a second direction opposite to the first direction during a second stroke of the user-operated actuator; and a filter fluidly connected to the inlet of the hand pump, the housing is configured to house the filter and at least part of the hand pump, the housing is configured to pass water, the filter is configured to be a two-way valve for regulating water flow between the housing and the hand pump.

A reverse osmosis system to be connected to a feed water conduit and producing permeate water is disclosed. The reverse osmosis system includes a plurality of tubular bodies each having a first end and a second end, a first inner end plate attached to the first end of the tubular bodies, and a second inner end plate attached to the second end of the tubular bodies. The plurality of tubular bodies houses a filter, a pump, and two reverse osmosis membranes therein. The plurality of tubular bodies is configured to be connected in in fluid communication with each other via channels disposed within the end plates.
Mechanical pressure converter for water desalination
The present invention discloses a pressure converter system for sustainably forcing saline water through a semi-permeable membrane, comprising a hydraulic oil pump, a hydraulic oil cylinder comprising pressurized oil generated from the hydraulic oil pump, a sustainable energy source for powering the hydraulic oil pump, a saline water cylinder containing saline water, wherein the hydraulic oil cylinder and the saline water cylinder are connected using a piston and an electrical circuit for determining a direction of movement of the piston. This system may be developed to a stand-alone desalination facility comprising a ducted windmill that can harvest energy from a wide range of wind speeds, especially very low wind speeds. Because of the above, the present invention successfully converts mechanical energy to high pressure that is required to produce fresh water from saline water.
