Cot fastening system having a crash stable, cot fastener track and method of affixing an emergency cot thereto

Cot fastening systems which fix and hold an emergency cot to a crash stable, cot fastener track included in the system and provided within an emergency vehicle and methods of affixing the emergency cot thereto are disclosed. The track has a longitudinal length with first and second ends, open side rails longitudinally extending between the ends, and a channel centrally located between the rails. The side rails align, accommodate and guide a first fixture of the cot towards the first end as the cot is rolled within the vehicle and to retain the first fixture adjacent the first end at least vertically and laterally therein. The channel accommodates therein and retains a second fixture adjacent the second end at least vertically and laterally therein. A securing mechanism releasably prevents removal of the first fixture from the open side rails and removal of the second fixture from the channel.

The present disclosure is directed to a modular autonomous-vehicle interior. In particular, an autonomous vehicle can comprise an interior comprising a plurality of different and distinct regions. Each of the regions can comprise one or more mechanical interfaces associated therewith. The autonomous vehicle can also include, for each of one or more of the regions, at least one modular interior unit comprising an interior element and a base mechanically interfaced with the interior via the mechanical interface(s) associated with the region.

Rear excursion backrest for wheelchair accessible vehicles

A backrest device that normally supports the occupant and moves forward with said occupant during a forward impact/crash event. The device is equipped with a spring activated biased ratcheting mechanism that provides only forward movement, thus reducing the amount of dangerous rear excursion during the rebound phase, as measured by the occupant's head and torso.

LITTER LIFT SYSTEM

A litter lift system includes a winch and a lifting strap. The winch includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has one end coupled to the rotatable spool and is movable due to rotation of the rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first lifting segment and a second lifting segment positioned away from the end of the lifting strap coupled to the rotatable spool. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to interface with a frame of a litter at first lifting segment and second lifting segment distal ends, wherein a coupling is attached to the first lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a first direction raises the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a second direction different from the first direction lowers the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment.

OVERLAY FLOOR FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
20220219762 · 2022-07-14 ·

An overlay floor for motor vehicles, applied on the mother floor of the vehicle, intended to fix seats, wheelchairs or other equipment therein, having a shape adapted to the mother floor of the vehicle in which it is to be mounted. In the floor plate 1 there are made longitudinal mounting sockets 1′, into which two-part mounting rails are inserted. The mounting rails consist of an upper rail 2 with flanges 3 and a groove 4 for equipment fasteners and a 2″ lower base connected to it. The mounting sockets 1′ are made in a uniform sheet of the floor plate 1 as through, longitudinal holes for the profiles of the mounting rails. The upper rails 2′ have a longitudinal lock 5 at the bottom for connection to the lower bases 2″ which have a corresponding longitudinal lock 6 along the upper surfaces of the bases 2″. The width of the profile of the upper rails 2′ and the width of the base profile 2″ are such that they fit in the mounting sockets 1′ with a light interference.

Airbag assembly

An assembly includes a vehicle floor defining a seating area. The assembly includes a post supported by the vehicle floor and movable along a vehicle-longitudinal axis adjacent the seating area. The assembly includes an airbag supported by the post above the vehicle floor.

WHEEL CHAIR FOR CONTACTLESS BOARDING INTO A VEHICLE
20220249306 · 2022-08-11 ·

A wheelchair for onboarding a wheel chair person into a vehicle including a wheelchair and a king pin adapted to the wheelchair. The kingpin may be configured for positioning within an opening of a fifth wheel adapted to a vehicle configured for moving the wheelchair into a vehicle. Alternatively, a fifth wheel may be adapted to the wheelchair and a king pin to the vehicle. A system for onboarding a wheel chair person may include a wheelchair, a carriage, a fifth wheel, a king pin, a ramp latch mechanism, a fifth wheel latch mechanism, a processor, memory, and a switching mechanism. Instructions executable by the processor may: select ramp latch mechanism, determine ramp status, and active up/down the ramp; select fifth wheel latch mechanism, determine fifth wheel status, and on/off the fifth wheel. Other features include camera, dash panel control, no-contact panels, connection with external utility, and other features.

AIRBAG ASSEMBLY SUPPORTED BY ROOF MOUNTED PIVOTABLE BASE

A vehicle includes a floor defining a seating area. The vehicle includes a roof above the floor. The vehicle includes a base supported by the roof and pivotable from a stowed position at the roof to a deployed position rearward of the seating area. The vehicle includes an airbag supported by the base and inflatable from an uninflated position to an inflated position that is forward of the base toward the seating area.
