STRETCHER WITH INTEGRATED CHILD RESTRAINT

A cot includes a patient platform that supports a frame, a patient support assembly, and a pad. The cot further includes a lift system that is coupled to a transport system that includes a cot retainer. The patient support assembly includes a headrest, backrest, seat, and leg rest. In some forms, a child restraint assembly is incorporated into the various parts of the patient support assembly to allow safe transport of children in an ambulance. The child restraint assembly is adjustable to accommodate the size of the child being transported. In other forms, the child restraint assembly is incorporated into the pad. The various embodiments envision a child restraint assembly that is easily accessible to emergency medical professionals.

Seat base assembly of a vehicle

A removable seat assembly for a vehicle, including a base assembly having a riser portion configured to support a seat; a frame structure coupled to and supporting the riser portion, the frame structure defining a first generally planar surface configured to support a floor section; a seat dolly coupled to the frame structure, the seat dolly including a plurality of wheels for moving the seat assembly from a first position to a second position; a floor base assembly defining a substantially planar surface for receiving the plurality of wheels of the seat dolly as the seat assembly is moved from the first position to the second position; and a mounting bracket configured to releasably lock the seat dolly to the floor base assembly.

Mobility carrier provided with vehicle seat and vehicle provided with mobility carrier

A mobility carrier provided with a vehicle seat and a vehicle provided with the mobility carrier. The mobility carrier includes a carrier body, a seat, an operating portion configured of allowing a user accommodated on the seat to control the mobility carrier or the vehicle, and a carrier controller. The carrier controller communicates with a vehicle controller of the vehicle from outside of the vehicle. If verified through communications with the vehicle controller, the carrier controller controls the carrier wheels so that the carrier body enters a cabin of the vehicle. The carrier controller communicates with the vehicle controller to control a driving unit of the vehicle via the operating portion.

Wheelchair lift systems

A wheelchair lift system for a vehicle comprises: a platform for accommodating a wheelchair; a lifting arm; a hydraulic circuit including a hydraulic actuator arranged to act on the lifting arm to raise and lower the platform; a barrier mounted on the platform and pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position; a plurality of sensors each arranged to generate a sensor output; a user input device arranged to generate control signals to control operation of the lift; and a control unit. The control unit is arranged to receive the control signals and to receive the sensor output from each of the sensors and to control the hydraulic circuit thereby to control of the lift to perform a number of different operations. The control unit is also operable in a fully operational mode and a safety mode and is arranged to perform a plurality of checks on the sensor outputs, and to record a result of each of the checks, and to switch between the fully operational mode and the safety mode based on the results.

An anchorage system includes an elongate track defining an interior channel and an anchorage device securable at any of plural longitudinal positions on the track. The track has a base and first and second sides. A longitudinal channel opening opens in an outward face of the track and is defined between first and second retaining flanges at the outward face. The flanges project in towards one another and overlay the interior channel. The flanges have edge faces directed laterally towards one another across the channel opening and outward surfaces which are comprised in the outward face of the track. The anchorage device has a body, a retaining foot and a stem portion connecting the body and the retaining foot. The foot is laterally wider than the stem portion, and the anchorage device is engageable in the track with the foot in the interior channel.

A patient transport apparatus is provided for use with a retainer of a transport vehicle. The patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure comprising a patient support surface to support a patient. An engagement member is coupled to the support structure and arranged to engage the retainer when unloading the patient transport apparatus from the transport vehicle. A dampener is operable in a standby state or a resistance state such that the dampener provides increased resistance to movement of the patient transport apparatus in the resistance state as compared to the standby state. The resistance state of the dampener is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a first direction and the standby state is activated by manually moving the patient transport apparatus in a second direction, opposite the first direction.
