Electrical assistance device
The present invention relates to an electrical assistance device (1) for a wheelchair (100) having a seat (103) and at least one rear wheel (104, 105) having a tyre (110), the electrical assistance device (1) comprising: at least one motor (2) having a rotor (22) connected to a pinion (4) designed to mesh with a complementary toothset of the tyre (110), and a mobile arm (6) connecting said motor (2) to the wheelchair (100). The mobile arm (6) allows said motor (2) to be manoeuvred between an engaged position in which the pinion (4) is in contact with the complementary toothset of said tyre (110), a disengaged position in which the pinion (4) is not in contact with the complementary toothset of said tyre (110) and a transport position in which the pinion (4) is distanced from the tyre (110) and retracted beneath the seat (103).

Mobility assistance device
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a pivotable securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.

WHEELCHAIR ACCESSORY DEVICE FOR INCREASED MOBILITY
This document describes accessory devices for wheelchairs. For example, this document describes wheelchair accessory devices that include a wheel and foot pedals so that a wheelchair user can use his/her legs to propel the wheelchair by pedaling.
Multi-Speed Ergonomic Wheelchair And Devices And Methods Therefor
A wheelchair having a frame and a drive wheel coupled to the frame. The drive wheel rotates relative to the frame about a first axis of rotation. A first push rim is coupled to the frame. The first push rim rotates relative to the frame about a second axis of rotation that extends substantially parallel to the first axis of rotation. A second push rim is coupled to the frame. The second push rim rotates relative to the frame about a third axis of rotation that extends substantially parallel to the first axis of rotation. A transmission transmits rotation of each of the first and second push rims to the drive wheel. Movement of the first push rim by a first arc length causes the drive wheel to rotate by a first angular displacement, and movement of the second push rim by the first arc length causes the drive wheel to rotate by a second angular displacement that is greater than the first angular displacement.
Wheelchair convertible to a walker
Personal transportation aid that can be converted easily between a wheelchair and a walker. The device has handles that can be pushed forward to switch from wheelchair mode to walker mode. Pushing the handles forward causes the seat bottom of the wheelchair to flip up, opening a space where the user can stand to use the walker; the front wheels of the wheelchair are also pushed forward. Pulling the handles backwards returns the device to its wheelchair configuration, with the seat bottom flipped down and the front wheels moved backwards. Simple mechanical linkages may be used to flip the seat bottom up and down, and to push the front wheels forward and backwards; therefore the device does not require a power source or actuators.
Wheelchair Adornment System
A wheelchair adornment system includes a wheelchair has a pair of wheels, a pair of arm rests, a pair of leg supports, a chair and a backrest. A plurality of guards is provided and each of the guards is removably coupled to a selected point on the wheelchair. Thus, each of the guards may conceal associated parts of a user's body. A pair of fenders is provided and each of the fenders is coupled to the wheelchair. Each of the fenders is positioned over an associated one of the wheels. A canopy is removably coupled to the wheelchair configured to shade the user.

Manual Wheelchair Propulsion System
A propulsion system for a manual wheelchair includes a mounting clamp and a propulsion drive unit having a drive wheel assembly and a support suspension. The support suspension is configured to provide linear movement of the drive wheel and drive hub assembly relative to the manual wheelchair. The support suspension includes a linear bearing and slide member assembly having at least one linear bearing and a slide member for accommodating the linear movement of the drive wheel assembly and further includes a resilient suspension member that provides a tractive effort force to the drive wheel. The drive wheel assembly is supported on a carriage that is attached to one of the at least one linear bearing or the slide member and a mounting block is attached to the other. The mounting block has a clamp interface with a locating tab that engages a corresponding mounting slot in the mounting clamp.
