Mobile Chair Apparatus Comprising Foot Pedals
A mobile chair apparatus is described that comprises a drive assembly that preferably includes one or more moveable foot pedals, and drive wheels which rotate in response to rotation of the foot pedals by the mobile chair occupant, and a steering assembly which comprises two steering wheels and two armrests, wherein movement of just one armrest will translate into movement of both steering wheels, and wherein the drive assembly and the steering assembly concurrently enable the mobile chair occupant to propel and steer the mobile chair apparatus without assistance from another person.
Mobile Chair Apparatus Comprising Foot Pedals
An apparatus comprising a steering assembly, a drive assembly and a seat, the steering assembly comprises a first armrest connected to a first link arm, and a second armrest connected to a second link arm; a first tie rod connected to the first link arm and a second tie rod connected to the second link arm; a first steering block connected to the first tie rod and a second steering block connected to the second tie rod; a third tie rod interconnecting the first and second steering blocks; and a first and second steering wheel, and/or the drive assembly comprises a first and second drive wheel connected to an axle; a support shaft; foot pedals connected to a crank; a first chain connecting the crank to a gear hub; and a second chain connecting the gear hub to the axles or connecting components of the gear hub.
Mobility Assistance Device
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.

Wheelchair electric device, electric wheelchair with wheelchair electric device and drive monitoring method for electric wheelchair
It becomes possible to monitor a driven state of each wheel in a wheelchair whose wheels are driven according to output information calculated based on input information. A left wheel controller and a right wheel controller are provided. The presence or absence of a drive abnormality of the left wheel is determined by the right wheel controller receiving first drive related information that is related to a drive of the left wheel and transmitted from the left wheel controller, and the presence or absence of a drive abnormality of the left wheel is determined by the left wheel controller receiving second drive related information that is related to a drive of the right wheel and transmitted from the right wheel controller.
Nesting wheeled personal conveyances
A wheeled personal conveyance has a rear portion and a front portion, the front portion being configured to receive into the wheeled personal conveyance the rear portion of a like wheeled personal conveyance such that the like wheeled personal conveyance is at least partially nested within the wheeled personal conveyance. By one approach, a body frame as comprises the wheeled personal conveyance has a front portion that is laterally wider than a part of the body frame that comprises a part of the aforementioned rear portion of the wheeled personal conveyance. So configured, the wheeled personal conveyance can have a passenger area that is wider towards the front than towards the back. By one approach, arm rests are provided that connect to a seat of the wheeled personal conveyance and that move in conjunction with the seat as the seat pivots.
