Described herein is a filtration media comprising: (i) a first filtration medium comprising an anion exchange nonwoven substrate, wherein the anion exchange nonwoven substrate comprises a plurality of quaternary ammonium groups; and (ii) a second filtration medium comprising a functionalized microporous membrane wherein the functionalized microporous membrane comprises a plurality of guanidyl groups; wherein the first filtration medium is positioned upstream of the second filtration medium.

Curable compositions and membranes
A curable composition comprising the components (i) 0 to 60 wt % non-ionic crosslinker(s); (ii) 20 to 85 wt % curable ionic compound(s) comprising an anionic group and at least one ethylenically unsaturated group; (iii) 15 to 45 wt % solvent(s); (iv) 0 to 10 wt % of photoinitiator(s); and (v) 2 to 45 wt % of structure modifier(s); wherein the molar ratio of component (v): (ii) is 0.25 to 0.65. The compositions are useful for preparing membranes for (reverse) electrodialysis.
LIGAND-FUNCTIONALIZED SUBSTRATES WITH ENHANCED BINDING CAPACITY
An article that can be used for biomaterial capture comprises (a) a porous substrate; and (b) borne on the porous substrate, a polymer comprising interpolymerized units of at least one monomer consisting of (1) at least one monovalent ethylenically unsaturated group, (2) at least one monovalent ligand functional group selected from acidic groups, basic groups other than guanidino, and salts thereof, and (3) a multivalent spacer group that is directly bonded to the monovalent groups so as to link at least one ethylenically unsaturated group and at least one ligand functional group by a chain of at least six catenated atoms.
Composite membrane comprising layer of perfluoropolyether on hydrophilic substrate
The invention relates to a composite comprising a porous substrate at least partially coated with a coating layer prepared from curing a coating composition (C), the coating composition (C) comprising at least one curable perfluoropolyether (PFPE) polymer. The invention further relates to a process for manufacturing a composite as afore-described, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a coating composition (C) comprising at least one curable perfluoropolyether (PFPE) polymer; (b) depositing said coating composition (C) on a porous substrate; and (c) crosslinking said coating composition (C) to form a porous substrate at least partially coated.

NANOPOROUS LYOTROPIC LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYMER MEMBRANES WITH REVERSIBLY TUNED PORE SIZE AND SELECTIVITY, AND METHODS USING SAME
The invention includes methods of reversibly tuning the effective pore size and/or solute rejection selectivity of a nanoporous lyotropic liquid crystal (LLC) polymer membrane. The membranes of the invention have high levels of pore size uniformity, allowing for size discrimination separation, and may be used for separation processes such as liquid-phase separations.
