Ultraviolet Plant Illumination System
A solution for illuminating plants is provided. An illustrative system can include: a set of visible light sources configured to emit visible radiation directed at the plant; a set of ultraviolet radiation sources configured to emit ultraviolet radiation directed at the plant; and a set of sensors, wherein at least one sensor is configured to detect a fluorescence emitted from the plant due to the ultraviolet radiation and a fluorescence emitted from the plant due to the visible radiation.

DRAINAGE AND AERATION DEVICE FOR PLANT CONTAINERS
A drain shield for a plant container prevents compaction of soil, maintain drainage and provide for aeration of the roots of the plant. The drain shield comprises a unitary molded disk with a plurality of cube-like supports which are circumferentially spaced near the perimeter of the disk. The supports are positioned inward from the outer edge of the disk creating an eave around the perimeter of the disk that overhangs the supports. When the disk is placed on the bottom of a plant container, the supports form a series of uniform passages that lead to an unobstructed inner space under the disk. The side walls of the supports, as they relate to each other and to the center of the disk, are tapered in such a way that the passages between adjacent supports becomes larger toward the center of the disk. The underside of the disk, and to the inward side of the supports, is concave, forming a dome.

A system for the cultivation of plants, including: a cultivation table, in which the plants to be cultivated have been placed at least for the time of the growing stage; growing substrates in which the seeds of the plant are sown and which are placed at the initial end of the cultivation table for germination; and elongated troughs which hold the growing substrates in which troughs also the seeds and seedlings of the plant as well as the grown plants are placed during both said germination and said growing stage. In the method for cultivation of plants in a greenhouse, a growing substrate for the cultivation of plants is placed in an elongated trough, and seeds of a plant are sown in said growing substrate placed in the trough.

The present invention relates to a container for propagating growth of seedlings, having a main body comprising a base, a central wall extending vertically from the base. A first wall section and a second wall section are arranged to the main body. The first wall section and the second wall section are hingeably connected to the main body. METHOD OF OPERATING A CAMERA ASSEMBLY IN AN INDOOR GARDENING APPLIANCE
A gardening appliance includes a grow tower rotatably mounted within a liner and having a plurality of apertures for receiving one or more plant pods. A controller is operably coupled to a drive motor and a camera assembly and is configured to operate the drive motor to rotate the grow tower while obtaining a series of images. The controller is further configured to analyze the series of images using a machine learning image recognition process to identify a target image of the series of images that corresponds to an image having the best image quality or clarity.
