Method and System of Growing Plants in a Confined Space
20230371444 · 2023-11-23 · ·

A method of growing plants in a confined space makes use of containers for plants. The containers are stored using a system including a three-dimensional array of array elements, said three-dimensional array of array elements having a stack of two-dimensional arrays of array elements. Each two-dimensional array has a grid of tracks defining a first track for moving a container in an X-direction, and second tracks for moving the container in a Y-direction. Containers are moved using a shuttle. To improve the use of the space available for growing plants, the containers have to be moved from the first track to a second track efficiently. Thus, moving a container to the second track comprises lifting at least one of the containers and the shuttle by bringing moveable track sections from a relatively low position to a relatively high position, and moving the container to the second array element.

MODULAR SYSTEMS FOR TRANSPORTATION OF PLANTS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

Systems are described for plant propagation and transportation. The systems include modular stackable carriers and modular stackable trays, wherein the trays accommodate plant pots, and wherein the carrier accommodate the trays. Trays and carriers may be stacked and nested in various configurations to create ensembles based on a desired functions, such as for transportation, storage or stowage.

Indoor garden center with a drive assembly utilizing positional feedback

An indoor gardening appliance includes a grow module that is seated on a turntable that is rotatably mounted within a grow chamber and is rotated by a drive assembly. A position sensing assembly monitors an angular position using two proximity sensors, such as Hall-effect sensors, mounted below the sump at the same circumferential position but at different radial positions. The turntable includes a plurality of proximity indicators, such as magnets, positioned at each of three circumferential positions on the turntable and at different radiuses to define a two-digit binary code corresponding to each of the three circumferential positions that is detectable by the proximity sensors.

Disclosed are high-density soil-less hydroponic cultivation systems, apparatus used therein, and methods of operation thereof. A high-density soil-less cultivation system can comprise one or more grow columns, each comprising a column lumen, and one or more angled housings coupled to the grow columns. The system can further comprise a nutrient reservoir configured to contain a nutrient solution to be delivered to the grow columns, a capture conduit coupled to the grow columns configured to capture or recapture nutrient solution flowing through the grow columns, and a capture reservoir configured to collect the captured or recaptured nutrient solution from the capture conduit for delivery to the nutrient reservoir to be reused. The system can also comprise an omnidirectional light tower configured to shine light on the one or more angled housings to induce growth of any plant matter within the angled housings.

Board connector system and method

A connector system and method comprising a coupling with 3 walls defining a cavity. Disposed on the first side wall and second side wall are lips protruding into the cavity, such that a grooved board inserted into the cavity is in contact with the lips and back wall. Disposed on the walls are mounting holes, such that other apparatuses may be mounted to the mounting holes. The couplings may be mounted on other identical couplings or on couplings of different heights.

Pot Attachment Device
20230380350 · 2023-11-30 ·

A pot attachment device for attaching a pot to a structure includes a flexible bag, into which a pot is insertable so that its upper end is positioned below the pot's top. A cord is woven into the flexible bag, proximate to the upper end, so that segments of the cord adjacent to its opposed ends extend from the flexible bag. The segments can be grasped in hands of a user to pull on the segments to cinch the upper end of the flexible bag around the pot and to position the cord around an element of a structure. Couplers, which are attached singly to the opposed ends of the cord, can selectively attach to either the cord or the flexible bag to secure the cord around the element of the structure. The pot thus is removably attached to the element of the structure.

Indoor garden center with a moisture management system

An indoor gardening appliance includes a liner defining a grow chamber and a grow module rotatably mounted within the grow chamber for receiving a plurality of plant pods. A moisture management system includes an evaporator plenum in fluid communication with the grow chamber and a fan assembly that recirculates air from the respective grow chambers and/or the ambient environment through an evaporator positioned within the evaporator plenum. In this manner, chamber humidity may be regulated while water is extracted from the air which may be used by a hydration system to hydrate plants.

The present disclosure includes foldable forms that are foldable between a first planar state and a second non-planar state. The form can include at least two sectors, each comprising first and second sub-sectors that each comprise a set of cuts. The set of cuts can include first through fourth cuts, where a portion of the form between the first cut, second cut, third cut, a theoretical line connecting the second and third cuts, and the edge forms a flap. The form can be folded, with the flaps received through the fourth cuts to make a container. The container can be usable as a planter.
