FLUID REACTORS
Fluid reactors include a sealed housing enclosing a reactor core that includes at least one substrate-free multichannel reactor core element. Each reactor core element is made from a non-substrate mounted, open pore cellular network material having an asymmetric, tortuous, bi-continuous two-phase material structure and contains multiple perforating fluid channels. Multiple reactor core elements can be serially and/or parallelly piped in a sealed manner to form a reactor core for a fluid reactor with a higher production capacity.
COMBINATION OF PYRROLIDONE BASED SOLVENTS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POROUS MEMBRANES
The present invention relates to a method for producing a porous membrane, the method being characterized in that a solvent system comprising 2-pyrrolidone and N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone is used, wherein the content ratio of 2-pyrrolidone to N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone in the solvent system is from 90%:10% to 10%:90%, based on mass %, and wherein N-alkyl-2-pyrrolidone is N-propyl-2-pyrrolidone and/or N-butyl-2-pyrrolidone. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a porous membrane obtainable by said method. Moreover, the present invention relates to the use of a specific solvent system for the production of a porous membrane.
ASYMMETRICALLY POROUS ION EXCHANGE MEMBRANES AND THEIR METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
The disclosure relates to a membrane and method for its manufacture, the method including the steps of providing of an ultrafiltration membrane, and modification of the resultant ultrafiltration membrane to provide an asymmetric porous ion exchange membrane. The modification of the ultrafiltration membrane is typically carried out by exposing said ultrafiltration membrane to a first functional reagent to provide a cross-linked ultrafiltration membrane, and then exposing said cross-lined ultrafiltration membrane to a second functional reagent to introduce positive charged groups to produce an anion exchange membrane.
MEMBRANE FOR BLOOD PURIFICATION
The present disclosure relates to semipermeable membranes which are suitable for blood purification, e.g. by hemodialysis, which have an increased ability to remove larger molecules while at the same time effectively retaining albumin. The membranes are characterized by a molecular retention onset (MWRO) of between 9.0 kD and 14.5 kD and a molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) of between 55 kD and 130 kD as determined by dextran sieving curves and can be prepared by industrially feasible processes excluding a treatment with salt before drying. The invention therefore also relates to a process for the production of the membranes and to their use in medical applications.
Filter membrane and device
The present disclosure relates to a microporous hollow fiber filter membrane having a large inner diameter and a thin wall. The fiber can be used for sterile filtration of liquids or removal of particles from liquids. The disclosure further relates to a method for producing the membrane and a filter device comprising the membrane.
Hydrophobic novel biofilm membrane modified with a spiropolyurethane
A hydrophobic biofilm membrane modified with a spiropolyurethane may be used for desalination of salt water to fresh water. The spiropolyurethane component of the membrane can produce a hydrophobic spin membrane boundary which attracts saline water, and where the hydrophobic spin membrane boundary can comprise a hinge-like motion for capture of salt molecules via a loose pore-gate spongy membrane surface texture while allowing desalinated water to flow through the porous membrane. The membrane is useful in both reverse osmosis (RO) and membrane distillation (MD) separations, including the desalination.
CONDUCTIVE MEMBRANE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present application discloses a conductive membrane and a preparation method thereof, which belong to the field of membrane separation technology. The conductive membrane provided by the present application includes a porous base layer film, a porous intermediate layer film, and a porous conductive layer film which are disposed layer by layer in sequence; wherein at least some holes of the base layer film are communicated with holes of the conductive layer film through holes of the intermediate layer film, and material of the intermediate layer film is the same as material of the base layer film and of the conductive layer film. Regarding the conductive membrane provided by the present application, it can be coupled with electrochemical technology, so that the membrane exhibits new excellent properties at the same time of playing separating characteristic.

GRAVITY-DRIVEN CHITOSAN-ENHANCED MELAMINE SPONGE FOR STABLE ULTRAFAST FILTRATION
Devices and methods related to a chitosan-enhanced melamine sponge are provided. A method comprises grafting chitosan on the melamine sponge matrix via the chemical with two or more carboxyl groups; and crosslinking the chitosan with crosslinker under a heating procedure to make a more robust melamine sponge with a larger surface and smaller pores. The chitosan-enhanced melamine sponge is used to separate chemicals from water as a gravity flow-driven filter, and it can be compressed and backwashed for regeneration.
