Tandem Wheelchair Assembly
A tandem wheelchair assembly for wheeling two people simultaneously includes a front wheelchair and a rear wheelchair, which can seat a first person and a second person, respectively, and which comprise a first frame and a second frame, respectively. A plate is fixedly attached, by its first end, proximate to a rear end of the first frame so that the plate extends from the rear end. A forward end of the second frame is attached to a second end of the plate. The plate extends between the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair and is substantially parallel to a surface upon which the front wheelchair and the rear wheelchair are positioned. Feet of the second person can be rested upon the plate. An attendant is positioned to wheel the first person and the second person simultaneously across the surface.
Backrest interlocking type frame for foldable wheelchair
Disclosed herein is a backrest interlocking type frame for a foldable wheelchair. The backrest interlocking type frame includes: a seat frame which includes a first horizontal bar and a second horizontal bar spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval and arranged at the top and the bottom of the seat frame, a first mounting member, a second mounting member, and a third mounting member mounted between the first horizontal bar and the second horizontal bar to be spaced apart from one another, a first bracket mounted on the first mounting member and a second bracket mounted on the second mounting member; a backrest frame which includes a first vertical bar and a second vertical bar formed integrally, wherein one end of the first vertical bar is rotatably mounted on the third mounting member of the seat frame through a first hinge portion, and both ends of a rail are fixed between the second mounting member and the third mounting member of the seat frame; a horizontally foldable frame rotatably mounted on the first bracket and the second bracket of the seat frame; and a transfer block mounted on the rail to move along the rail, wherein one end of a retractor is rotatably mounted on the transfer block through a third hinge portion, the other end of the retractor is rotatably mounted on the second vertical bar of the backrest frame through a second hinge portion, so that the horizontally foldable frame is operated to be folded when the backrest frame is folded downwardly, thereby reducing the overall width of the seat frame.
Portable power assist for manual wheelchairs
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a wheelchair power assist device configured to switch a motorized friction roller between engaged and disengaged modes with a wheelchair wheel, based on an engagement actuator configured to move the friction roller relative to an attachment member removably secured to the wheelchair. The friction roller may be operably coupled with an engagement member configured to move relative to the attachment member. The engagement member may be moved by an extendable and retractable actuator shaft coupled with the attachment member. A manual wheelchair may be converted to a powered wheelchair using a motorized friction roller for each wheelchair wheel. A plurality of power assist devices may be configured to position a respective plurality of friction rollers to leave an open space behind the wheelchair seating area, advantageously permitting the power assist devices to remain attached to a foldable wheelchair in either folded or unfolded configurations.
LUGGAGE
A folding wheelchair comprising a luggage compartment, a collapsible frame and wheels, the wheels being mounted to a chassis of the collapsible frame for supporting the folding wheelchair in use, the collapsible frame having a first support pivotally mounted to the chassis at a first end of the first support, the first support and chassis being configured to rotate relative to one another between a stowed position, in which the chassis and the first support are adjacent, and an erect position in which the first support extends away from the chassis to support a seat and handles for pushing the folding wheelchair.
MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.

Wheeled chair
A kit of parts which when assembled will provide a wheeled chair and include a central frame member to which all other elements are connected.

Fold, recline, and tilt mechanisms for a personal mobility vehicle
A personal mobility vehicle, such as a stroller, has spaced apart side frame assemblies that each include a backrest portion and a seat frame portion. The backrest portion is moveable to several recline positions relative to the seat frame portion by actuating a latching mechanism. The backrest portion and the base frame are both moveable to a folded position relative to the seat frame by actuating the same latching mechanism. The side frame assembly further has a tilt mechanism that permits the backrest and seat frames to move as a unit relative to the base frame.
