The slab has opposed dominant faces, the opposed dominant faces being at least partially wind penetrable to allow wind to flow through the packing. The at least one liquid source is oriented to direct carbon dioxide absorbent liquid into the packing to flow through the slab. The slab is disposed in a wind flow that has a non-zero incident angle with one of the opposed dominant faces. A method of carbon dioxide capture is also disclosed. Carbon dioxide absorbing liquid is applied into packing in a series of pulses. A gas containing carbon dioxide is flowed through the packing to at least partially absorb the carbon dioxide from the gas into the carbon dioxide absorbing liquid.

Ergonomic scent diffuser

An ergonomic scent diffuser having a first housing with electrical components connected to a second housing having a heating element disposed within. Slidably connected to the second housing is a cap. The cap has depressions adjacent an outer end to provide an ergonomic grip. The cap also has guide rails and retaining members that retain and position a fragrance emitting member over the heating element.

The present invention is a liquid material vaporizing device that heats a liquid material supplying pipe without providing a heating mechanism, the liquid material vaporizing device including: a gas-liquid mixer unit configured to mix a liquid material and a gas to generate a gas-liquid mixture; a liquid material supplying pipe configured to supply the liquid material to the gas-liquid mixer unit; a vaporizer unit configured to heat the gas-liquid mixture to vaporize the liquid material; and a casing configured to house the gas-liquid mixer unit, the vaporizer unit, and the liquid material supplying pipe, in which a channel configured to guide convection of heat from the vaporizer unit to the liquid material supplying pipe is provided inside the casing.

Dosing and mixing arrangement for use in exhaust aftertreatment

A dosing and mixing arrangement includes a mixing tube having a constant diameter along its length. At least a first portion of the mixing tube includes a plurality of apertures. The arrangement also includes a swirl structure for causing exhaust flow to swirl outside of the first portion of the mixing tube in one direction along a flow path that extends at least 270 degrees around a central axis of the mixing tube. The arrangement is configured such that the exhaust enters an interior of the mixing tube through the apertures as the exhaust swirls along the flow path. The exhaust entering the interior of the mixing tube through the apertures has a tangential component that causes the exhaust to swirl around the central axis within the interior of the mixing tube. The arrangement also includes a doser for dispensing a reactant into the interior of the mixing tube.

VEHICULAR WASHING METHOD
20220324419 · 2022-10-13 ·

A venturi-style vehicle washing system and method of washing a vehicle. The washing system and method produces large droplets of a liquid-gas mixture for washing a vehicle by mixing an energetic flow of gas carried at a first velocity through a gas conduit, with a liquid carried at a second velocity through a liquid conduit. A mixture conduit may carry the liquid-gas mixture to a vena contracta structure where: a jet forms, pressure drops, and velocity increases. The gas leaving the structure may expand to fill an outlet duct, creating turbulent vortexes in the liquid-gas mixture that transforms flowage kinetic energy to heat energy, which decreases pressure through the outlet duct. This results in increasing velocity of the liquid-gas mixture discharged onto the vehicle. The outlet duct operationally attaches to a spray arch that is sized to enable passage of a vehicle for washing with the liquid-gas mixture.

Mixing device

A mixer assembly for mixing an injected reductant with an exhaust gas comprises a tubular housing including a reductant inlet, an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet. The reductant inlet is positioned on a first side of the tubular housing and oriented to direct injected reductant along an injection access that extends transversely to a longitudinal axis. A first flow guide element is shaped as a sheet including a first aperture extending therethrough as well as a surface facing upstream. Exhaust gas flowing through the first aperture is impinged by the injected redundant. A second flow guide element is shaped as a sheet, positioned downstream from the first flow guide element and fixed to the first flow guide element to define a mixing chamber between the first flow guide element and the second flow guide element in which the injected redundant and the exhaust gas mix.
