Mechanical type lifting shifter
A mechanical type lifting shifter provided below a wheelchair body, including a bottom supporting assembly having a pair of oppositely arranged supporting members and gear rack columns provided on the supporting members; a movable upper supporting assembly having movable supporting members slidably sleeving the gear rack columns; a gear roller assembly having a rotating shaft and a pair of lifting gears provided on the two end portions of the rotating shaft; two ends of the rotating shaft are respectively and fixedly connected to a pair of movable supporting members and support the movable supporting members, and the lifting gears are engaged with the gear rack columns; a pedal transmission assembly mounted on the rotating shaft and in transmission connection with the rotating shaft; and a pedal clutch assembly connected to the pedal transmission assembly to switch clockwise and anti-clockwise motion transmission between the pedal transmission assembly and the rotating shaft.
SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING THE HUMAN BODY, OR A HUMAN BODY SEGMENT, PROVIDED WITH AN IMPROVED CUSHIONING ARRANGEMENT
A support system for the human body, or a human body segment, is provided. The system comprises a covering lining in which a plurality of pockets is defined in which there are inserted one or more filling elements forming together a cushioning arrangement of the support system. Filling elements with different physical properties, for example different stiffnesses, are inserted in the different pockets of the covering lining. The pockets may be independent of one another and removably connected to one another, so that they can be combined with one another in the way that best adapts to the specific morphology of a single user. The support system can be made, for example, in the form a cushion, a seat, a backrest, a mattress or with any other shape that may be desired.
MOBILITY SUPPORT DEVICE WITH STEP CLIMBING MECHANISM
A mobility support device capable of stably climbing a step without impairing mobility on flat ground is provided. The mobility support device includes a front wheel, a rear wheel, a drive wheel disposed between the front wheel and the rear wheel, a first link coupled to the front wheel, a second link connecting the drive wheel and the rear wheel, a rotation joint coupling the first link and the second link at a first position, and a first elastic member coupling the first link and the second link at a second position different from the first position.
Anti-Rollback Device for Use with a Collapsible Wheelchair
The present invention provides an assembly having a collapsible wheelchair and an anti-rollback assembly to brake rotational movement of the wheelchair when a user is unseated, while simultaneously maintaining the ability of the wheelchair to collapse into a storage configuration. The anti-rollback assembly may include a brake bar pivotable between a lock state and an unlock state, a biasing member engaging the brake bar to exert a biasing force to move the brake bar into the lock state, and an actuator configured to engage a seat surface of the wheelchair to move the brake bar into the unlock state when the individual occupies the seat surface.
WHEELCHAIR
A wheelchair is described herein, including wheels, a support frame that engages with the wheels, a seat base fitted to the support frame, and suspension between the frame and the seat base, wherein the seat base is adapted to move with respect to the support frame when a human occupant is seated on the seat base such that the suspension dampens body weight force between the seat base and the support frame.
Mobility device
A mobility device (1) comprising: a main frame (3) having a central longitudinal axis which coincides with the median plane of the mobility device (1), an elongated body support member (13b) which has a central longitudinal axis (At) that is contained in a median plane of the mobility device (1), the body support member (13b) being pivotally connected to the main frame (3) via a medial pivot connection (17), and an elongated rotation transfer member (13c) rotatably connected to the body support member (13b), wherein the rotation transfer member (13b) has a central longitudinal axis (A2) which extends transversally relative to the central longitudinal axis (At) of the body support member (13b).
Manually-operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle, and a brake assembly and wheel fork assembly thereof
A brake assembly for a manually-operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle according to a first aspect includes a brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a brake cable housing shaped to enclose an excess portion of the brake cable assembly. The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly. The cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. There is additionally provided a wheel fork assembly for a manually-operated, height-adjustable wheeled vehicle according to a first aspect. The vehicle includes a frame member. The wheel fork assembly includes a mount shaped to couple with a lower end of the frame member of the vehicle. The mount has a longitudinal axis. The wheel fork assembly includes a wheel fork having a longitudinal axis offset from the longitudinal axis of the mount. The wheel fork is integrally coupled to and formed with the mount.
Patient Support Apparatus With Battery Retention System
A patient support apparatus and a removable battery usable with the patient support apparatus. The patient support apparatus may include a support frame with a patient support deck disposed on the support frame and a lift assembly having a powered lift actuator to adjust the support frame. The patient support apparatus may further include a battery retention system coupled to the support frame. The battery retention system may include a mount base and a battery receiver pivotably coupled to the mount base for movement between a locked state and an unlocked state for permitting removal of the battery from the battery retention system.
