Changing table
A changing table has a changing surface on which an individual can lie to be changed or washed. The changing surface is formed from a sheet of semi-rigid material having a longitudinal center axis and having also, parallel to the center axis, first and second edges occupying nominal rest positions with respect to each other when there is no load on the surface, the said edges being fixed to first and second longitudinal members, the sheet and longitudinal members forming together a support system having for the first 10 mm of extension between the said center line and the said nominal rest position of the said first edge and between the said center line and the said nominal rest position of the said second edge an average spring rate in extension of more than 300 N/mm and the said semi-rigid sheet having a torsion coefficient of more than 10 Nm/radian.
Patient support systems and methods for assisting caregivers with patient care
A patient support system for providing improved guidance tools with respect to a patient support apparatus. A user interface is configured to receive inputs from a user, and an information output device is configured to provide instructions to the user. The user interface and the information output device may be embodiment on a touchscreen display. The user inputs may include a search query. A controller may be adapted to determine search results corresponding to operational functions of the patient support apparatus responsive to the search query and to provide said search results to the user with the information output device. The user input may include shorthand commands corresponding to operational functions of the patient support apparatus. The user interface may include a voice actuation device configured to receive voice actuation commands from a user.
Portable Body-Washing Apparatus
A portable body-washing apparatus is a self-supported, self-contained hygiene aid directed towards use in care-homes, hospitals, or other facilities typically tasked with assisted bathing of disabled persons. A mobile chassis supports an adjustable armature, a base chair segment, and at least one articulated chair segment to support a subject's body during washing. An onboard pump assembly and connected power supply feeds fluids from at least one fluid source through a plurality of conduits via a fluid selection source, enabling operators to select from various output modes, e.g., water, heated air, body wash, shampoo, et cetera. The plurality of conduits is connected to a plurality of outlet heads distributed across the base chair segment and at least one articulated chair segment to enable a full-body wash without requiring a caregiver to physically maneuver the patient.
Hydro Wash Bed
The Hydro Wash Bed allows people physically incapacitated who cannot access normal means of bathing or washing to have a bath. The Hydro Wash Bed is made of lightweight plastic that has two handles which sits on four moveable rubber wheels. The Hydro Wash Bed tilts up and down, folds up and down and tilts side to side. The Hydro Wash Bed has sprayers that will allow clean water to be pumped in from an existing faucet and allow dirty water to be removed through a drain. The Hydro Wash Bed folds so that storage is easy. The Hydro Wash Bed can be used in medical facilities for people unable to independently take a bath or shower and homes for elderly people unable to access their own bathrooms. The Hydro Wash Bed is lightweight plastic that is easily wiped down for sanitary and germ control and elimination purposes.
Bed Positionable Bathing Assembly
A bed positionable bathing assembly for bathing a bedridden user includes a sheet and a frame. The sheet is substantially impervious to water. The sheet comprises a bottom and a sidewall. The sidewall extends from a circumference of the bottom. The sheet is flexible so that the sidewall is positionable substantially coplanarly with the bottom. The sheet is positionable between a mattress and a user positioned on the mattress. The frame has a lower limit, which is positionable upon the sheet so that the frame surrounds the user. The frame has an upper limit, which is selectively engageable to an upper perimeter of the sidewall so that the sidewall extends transversely or substantially perpendicularly from the bottom and the mattress. The sheet thus defines a reservoir, which can collect water used in bathing the user.
MOVABLE SHOWER APPARATUS AND MOVABLE SHOWER SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
A movable shower apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a body, a controller, a motor pump, a moving unit, and a purified water circulator. The body includes a purified water container and a wastewater container communicating with the purified water container. The controller provided on the body controls the flow rate and temperature of purified water. The motor pump draws the purified water from the purified water container and discharges the purified water. The moving unit carries the body. The purified water circulator draws external air, compresses the external air, and blows the compressed external air into the purified water container. The wastewater container allows the purified water in the purified water container to be introduced into the wastewater container. A heater is disposed within the purified water container to heat the purified water. The purified water circulator circulates the purified water from one side to the other side of the purified water container by blowing the compressed external air into the purified water container.
Semi-open showering device
A semi-open bathing device (200) is provided, one aspect of which relates to multi-function showering device, comprising a chair assembly, a plurality of first dispensers (220/222), a supply assembly, a temperature regulator, and a waste water management assembly. In the semi-open bathing device (200), the chair assembly comprises a seat (202) with a hole (204) disposed in the center of the seat (202). A backrest (206) and two sidewalls (214) are coupled to the seat (202) respectively thereby forming a front opening for the chair assembly. The backrest (206) provides a support for the bather and the two sidewalls (214) are configured to contain the spillage of water. The plurality of first dispensers (220/222) is positioned onto the sidewalls (214) and/or the backrest (206) for dispensing water and/or air towards the bather. The supply assembly is located at backside of the backrest (206) for connecting to a water supply and an electricity supply.
