Shower stretcher
A shower stretcher assembly (10) includes a frame (22) which supports a platform (20) consisting of three mattress support panels (50-54), and a headboard (16) and foot board (18). The support panels (50-54) define a back rest section (30), a seat section (31) and a foot section (32). The seat section (31) is of flexible material to more closely conform to the shape of a person lying thereon. The stretcher assembly (10) is provided with side barriers (68) at each head and foot end, the side barriers (68) arranged to move between a raised vertical position, a raised position extending outwards from the frame, and a lowered position in which they lie alongside the frame so as to be below the level of the mattress of the stretcher. The side barriers present substantially vertical walls to accommodate a water-resistant mattress with side walls (28).
Personal hygienic shower, system, and method of use
A personal hygienic system is configured to be portable and to be placed under a patient on a bed or reclined surface. The personal hygienic system comprises an inflatable shower comprising an outer wall that defines an inner space and surrounds a patient. At least one washing fluid can be applied to the patient in the inner space. The outer wall comprises folds discretizing stacked wall segments. The inner space defines a slope declining from an upper end toward a bottom end and a drain portion arranged at the bottom end. The drain portion defines a recess, an aperture located in the recess, a raised bottom lip bounding the recess proximate the bottom end, and at least one drain channel arranged on a side of the drain portion and configured to collect spent washing fluid from one or more side segments and corresponding folds of the inner space.
BATHING PLATFORM FOR A BATHTUB
A bathing platform is provides that includes an elongated platform having a top surface and a bottom surface, a first long side, a second long side, a first short side and a second short side. A bottom surface portion of the first and second long sides is configured to engage an upper surface of the bathtub and support the elongated platform. A bottom surface portion of the first and second short sides may also engage with an upper surface of the bathtub and support the elongated platform.
PATIENT BED SYSTEM INCLUDING DEFECATION DEVICE HAVING IMPROVED PIPING STRUCTURE
According to a patient bed system including a defecation device having an improved piping structure, presented in the present invention, a defecation device is integrally provided in a patient bed, an excrement discharge pipe communicating with a discharge hole at the lower part of a bedpan body is formed by a roundedly inclined piping structure in which excrement flows down by its own weight, an opened end of the excrement discharge pipe can be opened and closed in order to discharge excrement by means of the simple operation of a handle part including an opening and closing member, and an excrement collection polybag in which excrement collection plastic is embedded so as to be discharged in order to facilitate the collection of excrement discharged by a patient is formed so as to be fastened to the excrement discharge pipe, such that, compared with a conventional excrement device, the present invention facilitates cleaning and can increase the convenience of simple operation with one hand.
System for washing and treating newborn infants
A system for washing and treating infants includes components for keeping an infant under controlled sterile and warm conditions. The system also includes a device for washing the infant, which has a support frame and a flexible laminar element adapted to be secured thereto. The frame and the laminar element define a housing for receiving the infant while he/she is being washed and/or treated. The housing is adapted to be introduced into the washing and treating components and is accessible from outside. The frame has a single-unit structure composed of tubular members made of a medical-grade sterilizable metal or non-metal material.
Tilt-Tip Moldable Total Care Bed
A tilt-tip moldable bed system for the care of immobile patients is provided. The bed system may include a moldable mattress having a casing with a bladder defining an inner volume and a top compliant surface over a top surface of the bladder, the compliant surface configured to conform to a shape of a displacing structure. The bladder may be configured to hold a plurality of beads suspended in a fluid medium. The moldable mattress may be molded while inflated and maintain a resilient shape when evacuated. The system may further include a supporting frame for the moldable support structure having a laterally rigid outer rim with at least one attachment point for the moldable mattress, at least one attachment point for a netted sling, and one or more mounting tracks configured to support at least one peripheral attachment.
BATHING APPARATUS
Improved bathing apparatus and their conformations. The improved bathing apparatus includes descriptions of efficient methods used in bathing bedridden persons without the need to move them from the bed. The process will include devices used in collection of body waste generated by bedridden individuals. Since cleanliness of bedridden individuals is paramount to continuing health as well as prevention of new infections, the devices are converted to a secondary use for bathing since a conduit can also be used for drainage of wastewater from showering or bathing. An impermeable layer with a spout leading into the conduit is placed under the patient. The wastewater generated can be collected for disposal or directed to a drainage system. Several iterations of the bath system are described, presenting a choice for the user depending on conformations of and attachments to the bed. In all conformations, the drainage outlet can be stoppered to generate a pool of water when needed.
