METHOD AND STIRRING ELEMENT DEVICE FOR MIXING MEDIUM VISCOUS TO HIGH VISCOUS FLUIDS AND/OR PASTES
A method in which a medium viscous to highly viscous fluid and/or a medium viscous to highly viscous suspension are/is mixed by means of an agitator device that is driven by a drive shaft, wherein
the fluid and/or the suspension are/is brought into a multi-dimensional flow by means of a close-clearance stirring blade (14) of the agitator device, and a flow resistance is minimized along a shaft direction in a shaft proximity.

Container
A container with two inner chambers (6, 7) running in its longitudinal direction and separated by at least one partition wall. An aerobic adhesive is stored in one inner chamber (6). A hydrophilic, gel-like activator is stored in the other inner chamber (7); a mixing unit can be attached to the front end of the container. The aerobic adhesive is fed to the mixing unit from the first inner chamber (6), and the hydrophilic activator is fed to the mixing unit from the second inner chamber (7), in a specified mixing ratio via a supply device and mixed together there. This mixture is discharged via an outlet opening (13) of the mixing unit.
MIXING/DISPERSING APPARATUS AND METHOD
The apparatus can produce a product highly mixed and dispersed to a quasi-perfect level in a short time and has an extremely simple arrangement to reduce the processing cost. The mixing/dispersing apparatus for a liquid/liquid mixture includes an elongated thin tube into which the liquid/liquid mixture flows, an inlet provided at one end of the elongated thin tube to receive the liquid/liquid mixture, an outlet provided at the other end to discharge the liquid/liquid mixture, and a mixture pumping device for allowing the mixture to be fed under pressure into the elongated thin tube at a flow rate exceeding a critical Reynolds number. Two liquid storage boxes are provided such that one is located before the inlet provided at one end of the elongated thin tube and the other is located after the outlet, and a plurality of elongated thin tubes is provided between the liquid storage boxes.
DISPENSING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A delivery system is provided that includes a device having a body extending along a longitudinal axis between proximal and distal ends. The body includes a proximal chamber, a distal chamber and a wall between the chambers. The body includes a first port in communication with the proximal chamber and a second port in communication with the distal chamber. A shaft is movably positioned within the body. The shaft extends through the wall and includes a proximal plunger positioned within the proximal chamber and a distal plunger positioned within the distal chamber. Pressure introduced through an opening in the proximal end moves the shaft such that the proximal plunger moves a fluid within the proximal chamber out of the first port and the distal plunger moves a fluid within the distal chamber out of the second port to simultaneously actuate a bone filler dispenser. Systems and methods are also provided.
ROOFING PRODUCT INCLUDING BIO-BASED ASPHALT MIXTURE AND METHODS OF MAKING THE ROOFING PRODUCT AND THE ROOFING-GRADE ASPHALT MIXTURE
A method of forming an asphalt mixture includes mixing a polyol with a bio-source material to form a bio-asphalt. The method can further include mixing the bio-asphalt with a bitumen source different from the bio-asphalt to form an asphalt mixture. The bio-source material can include an oil, such as a vegetable oil, an animal fat, or any combination thereof. The bitumen source can include a petroleum-based asphalt. The method can further include adding a modifier, such as a fatty acid, a polycarboxylic acid, a polyacrylic acid, a polyacrylate comprising a copolymer, or any combination thereof. Moreover, a roofing grade asphalt mixture includes a bio-asphalt. The bio-asphalt includes an alkyd, wherein the alkyd is a reaction product of a polyol and a bio-source material. The roofing grade asphalt mixture further includes a bitumen source material and particles.
Apparatus, system, and method for producing a sealant
Described herein is a method for producing a sealant. The method includes mixing a first material with a second material at a manufacturing site to produce the sealant. The method also includes applying x-ray energy to the sealant at the manufacturing site. The method includes measuring an amount of fluorescence emitted from the sealant in response to applying the x-ray energy. The method also includes calculating a mix ratio of the first and second materials of the sealant based on the amount of fluorescence. The method includes determining whether the mix ratio is within a predetermined mix ratio range.
SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SOLAR CELL PASTE
Provided in one embodiment is a method of making paste for solar cells. The method can include forcing silver through a feed tube coupled to a hydrodynamic cavitation chamber using an air-driven piston. The method can include subjecting the silver to hydrodynamic cavitation in the hydrodynamic cavitation chamber by using a hydraulic pump to pass the silver sequentially through a primary orifice, a secondary orifice, and a final orifice within the hydrodynamic cavitation chamber to produce the paste for the solar cells. The silver can include up to three unique silver powders having a total particle size distribution from 0.1 microns to 10 microns. A first silver powder can have a first average particle size of 1.5 um, a second silver powder having a second average particle size of 0.5 um, and a third silver powder having a third average particle size of 0.2 um.
STORAGE AND MIXING SYSTEM WITH COMPRESSIBLE INTERNAL CARTRIDGE FOR PASTY STARTING COMPONENTS
Storage and mixing systems and methods for pasty multicomponent polymethylmethacrylate bone cements, the systems and methods comprise a first tubular cartridge with a first cylindrical internal space containing a first starting component, a first dispensing plunger, a second tubular cartridge that is arranged within the first tubular cartridge. The external wall of the second cartridge touches against the internal wall of the first cartridge and is attached to the internal wall of the first cartridge, whereby the second cartridge contains a second starting component and has a second dispensing plunger arranged in it, whereby a pressing device with a clamping edge for compressing the second cartridge that can be propelled axially in the internal space of the first cartridge is arranged, as seen from the cartridge head, behind the first dispensing plunger and the second dispensing plunger.
