Fluid management system for producing treatment fluid using containerized fluid additives

An example fluid management system for generating a fluid for a treatment operation may include a mixer and a first portable container disposed proximate to and elevated above the mixer. The first portable container may hold dry chemical additives. A feeder may be positioned below the first portable container to direct dry chemical additives from the first portable container to the mixer. The system may also include a first pump to provide fluid to the mixer from a fluid source.

METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF AT LEAST ONE CONTAMINANT FROM AN AQUEOUS LIQUOR OR A GAS

A method for the removal of at least one contaminant from an aqueous liquor or a gas, comprising: preparing a solution or slurry of a solid alkali reagent by supplying a solid alkali reagent into a pre-wetting chamber via a feed pipe; supplying a liquid via two or more liquid sidestreams, each through a liquid inlet positioned on a side wall of the chamber to allow the liquid sidestreams to wash an internal wall of a frusto-conical section of the chamber and flow, preferably tangentially onto the internal wall in a downward spiraling manner thereby forming a vortex, towards a fluid outlet of the chamber and to further wet the solid alkali reagent with the supplied liquid thereby forming a pre-wetted reagent; and flowing a stream though a conduit, thereby creating a suction by the eductor to draw the pre-wetted reagent out of the chamber fluid outlet and mixing it with the stream to form a slurry or solution; and directing the slurry or solution exiting the eductor to an aqueous liquor or gas treatment unit, removing at least a portion of the contaminant from the aqueous liquor or gas in the treatment unit.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID ON DEMAND SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD

Provided herein are systems, apparatuses, and methods for localized, on-demand diesel exhaust fluid (“DEF”) production. The systems can comprise a loading station for securing a container comprising a pre-measured quantity of urea and releasing the urea from the container. The released urea and water can then be fed into a mixing tank to produce the DEF product. The water can be pre-treated, for example, in a reverse osmosis and/or deionization process before being fed to the mixing tank. The DEF product can be immediately dispensed into a diesel vehicle or stored in a nearby intermediate storage tank. The systems and processes advantageously reduce or eliminate the need for over-the-road shipments and retail packaging of DEF.

Catalyst slurry mixing process and system

Disclosed are a process and system for preparing a catalyst slurry. The process can include preparing a catalyst slurry comprising a solid particulate catalyst and a carrier liquid in a catalyst slurry preparation system. The catalyst slurry preparation system can include a mixing vessel, a rotatable impeller system connected to the mixing vessel, and a motor connected to the rotatable impeller system. The rotatable impeller system can include an agitator shaft and a hub connected to the agitator shaft. The hub and at least a portion of the agitator shaft are positioned within the mixing vessel along a longitudinal axis of the mixing vessel, and the hub has at least three blades.

Seed treatment method

Provided is a seed treatment method, using a composition that may be obtained extemporaneously by mixing at least one powder substance and an aqueous medium. The seed treatment method may include producing the mixture in an automatic and cyclic manner, in at least one first vessel, by introducing into same first at least a portion of the aqueous medium and next the powder substance, the latter being sucked into the aqueous medium in the vessel by a vacuum created in the vessel, at least partially draining the content of the vessel, by at least one blast of compressed gas in the vessel, to a seed treatment device where the mixture may be brought into contact with the seeds.
