Mixing package and method
A pouch or package (e.g., flexible package) having a containment compartment or chamber to securely seal and to segregate fine powders or other such products from another area of the package. A powder resistant sealable filter material is included between, or extending between edges of, opposing package panels. Water, or other liquids, can be added to the product through the material as this material allows liquid to pass through it to mix with the powder, but restricts passage of the powder back through.
Airborne dust mitigation system
A system for use with a gunite rig to capture airborne gunite type materials, particularly those containing silica, during the preparation of the gunite. In one respect, as the bags of silica-containing material are placed in the mixing section of the gunite rig and ripped open, airborne gunite dust is captured by a hood and suction system positioned above the mixer. Further, the mitigation system includes a plenum box and suction system positioned adjacent the mouth of a gunite pot to capture gunite dust generated as the mixed gunite material falls from a hopper into the gunite pot.
Mixing Inclined Belt Conveyor having Static Baffles with Seed Passages
A mixing inclined belt conveyor capable of mixing particulate material, specifically wet, freshly treated plant seeds for agricultural purposes. Inserting a plurality of mixing baffles into the stream of the particulate material induces a backflow of the particulate material. In the case of wet, freshly treated plant seed, this backflow causes a mixing, polishing, and drying of the plant seed. The mixing distributes the seed treatment into an even coat by rubbing the individual seeds of the seed flow stream together. The mixing baffles are oriented to induce backflow and sideways lateral movement and may incorporate a passage to allow increase material flow rate.
Mixing and Drying Conveyor
A conveyor having a conveyance structure, belt, and gas manifold. The gas manifold disposed within or on an exterior portion of the structure. The gas manifold having one or more manifold outlet ports to dry, condition, or treat a metered stream of seed within the conveyor. The manifold may be operably connected to a recirculating air system providing the vacuum source and pressurized air source of atmospheric or conditioned air. A filter and vacuum port may extract debris or humidity from the metered stream of seed within the conveyor. A plurality of mixing baffles may be longitudinally spaced apart through the conveyor in a laterally alternating manner to mix the metered stream of seed. The conveyor may be used to transfer, mix, dry, condition and treat the metered stream of seed between multiple stages of treatment.
Dewatering Method And System
The present invention relates to methods for dewatering tailings and systems for performing same. In certain aspects, the invention relates to methods of producing a dewatered tailings residue or a stackable tailings residue, comprising subjecting tailings to hydrocyclonic separation to produce one or more partially dewatered underflows and a final water-rich overflow; separating the final water-rich overflow, by centrifuging, into a recovered water stream and a low-water residue; and mixing together the low-water residue and at least part of the one or more partially dewatered underflows to produce a dewatered tailings residue or a stackable tailings residue.
DEVICE AND METHODS FOR PREPARATION OF GELATIN-BASED PRODUCTS
A device for preparing a gelatin-based product may comprise a mix tank, a mix pod that is fluidly coupled to the mix tank via a pod spike, and a hot water tank, where the hot water tank is coupled to the mix pod via the pod spike. In at least one example, the pod spike may comprise an outer tube and an inner tube. In one or more examples, the pod spike of the device may comprise a hub, where a first end of the outer tube is coupled to the hub. Further, in some examples, a first end of the inner tube may also be coupled to the hub.
CONTINUOUS EXTRUDED SOLIDS DISCHARGE
A device for processing oil or gas well waste solids, the device including a pressurizing discharge unit having a casing. The casing includes a solids inlet and a water inlet. The solids inlet receives treated solids into a front end of the casing, where the treated solids are exposed to a reduced pressure in an internal chamber of the casing of less than atmospheric pressure. The water inlet receives water and adds the water to the treated solids in the internal chamber. The casing includes an extruder screw unit, the extruder screw unit having progressive screw sections located inside the internal chamber and corresponding to conveying mixing and pressurizing screw sections. The conveying screw section conveys the treated solids along a long axis length of the extruder screw unit from the solids inlet towards a discharge end of the casing while the reduced pressure is maintained, the mixing screw section mixes the treated solids and the water together to form a paste, and the pressurizing screw section conveys the paste towards the discharge end and generates, in a portion of the casing downstream from the mixing screw section, a backpressure that is greater than atmospheric pressure. The casing includes a die assembly to extrude the paste through an orifice of the die assembly located at the discharge end while maintaining the backpressure on the paste in the internal chamber. Method and system embodiments for processing oil or gas well waste solids are also disclosed.
Device for preparation of gelatin-based products
A device for preparing a gelatin-based product having a mix tank, a mix pod that is fluidly coupled to the mix tank via a pod spike, and a hot water tank, where the hot water tank is coupled to the mix pod via the pod spike. In at least one example, the pod spike has an outer tube and an inner tube. In one or more examples, the pod spike of the device has a hub, where a first end of the outer tube is coupled to the hub. Further, in some examples, a first end of the inner tube may also be coupled to the hub.
Hydrator
A hydrator includes a dry module with a vertically oriented tube having a central axis, an interior, an upper inlet aperture, a lower outlet, and an inlet section including a dry inlet. A mixing segment includes a vertically oriented tube having an interior wall, a mixing-segment inlet at an upper end, and a mixing-segment outlet at a lower end. The mixing segment is vertically aligned with and sealingly connected to the outlet of the dry module. A rotating hydrator shaft has a liquid channel and a longitudinal axis aligned with the central axis of the dry module. Dry blades are disposed on and rotate with the hydrator shaft in the mixing segment. A hydrator nozzle is disposed on and rotates with the hydrator shaft and has a plurality of outlets in fluid communication with the liquid channel and open to the mixing segment for discharging liquid from the liquid channel.
POWDER TRANSFER BAGS AND REHYDRATION SYSTEM
A powder transfer bag includes a balloon or a membrane sealing its mouth. A connector to be used with the bags allows the bag to connect to a hydration device. A method of hydrating material in a powder transfer bag is provided.
