SHOCK ABSORBING ASSEMBLY FOR A PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
A hospital bed comprising: a frame, a patient receiving surface supported on the frame, the patient supporting surface including: at least one body support panel, each body support panel including a central panel section and at least one lateral panel section adapted to selectively extend towards and away from the central panel section for adjusting a width of the patient supporting surface, at least one resilient element disposed between the at least one lateral panel section and the central panel section for damping movement of the lateral panel section relative to the central panel section.
Modular monitoring smart bed
A patient monitoring system includes sensors, a patient support assembly, and a gateway device and/or control module. Example sensors include physiological sensors and patient status devices. The sensors acquire patient-related data. Patient related action is determined based on the patient-related data.

Integrated hospital bed with bath and wash facilities
The embodiments herein discloses a patient friendly bed provided with a toilet facility that enables the patient to use the toilet without assistance and without leaving the bed. A mattress provided in the bed comprises a trap door which separates to allow the patient to perform bodily functions. The bed comprises a cleaning and waste packaging mechanism for packaging solid and liquid waste in a sealed container and for storing the packaged waste for later removal. The bed is operable using a remote control unit. A sensor device is worn around the patient waist and stomach area to sense a need of the patient to perform bodily functions and automatically operate the bed functions.

Hospital headwall communication system
A patient support apparatus includes a support surface; first, second, and third wireless transceivers; and a controller. The first and second transceivers are adapted to wirelessly communicate with a stationary unit mounted in a room of a healthcare facility. The third transceiver is adapted to wirelessly communicate with a local area network of the healthcare facility. The controller is adapted to pair the first transceiver and the stationary unit by sending a pairing key to the stationary unit via the second transceiver; to transmit audio signals via the first transceiver if the first transceiver and the stationary unit are successfully paired; and to transmit an alert to the local area network via the third transceiver if the first transceiver and the stationary unit are not successfully paired.
SUPPORT APPARATUS FOR BARIATRIC PERSON
A support apparatus for a person includes a main cushion having a bottom surface, a top surface to form a support surface for a person supported on the main cushion, and a length having a perimeter that has longitudinal and lateral sides extending around the perimeter. In addition, the support apparatus has at least one sleeve located along one of the sides of the man cushion. The sleeve is configured between a stowed state, where the sleeve is closely adjacent to the one side, and a deployed state, where the sleeve forms an extension of the top surface of the main cushion to thereby increase the width or the length of the support surface.
