Manufacturing of bupivacaine multivesicular liposomes
Embodiments of the present application relate to commercial manufacturing processes for making bupivacaine multivesicular liposomes (MVLs) using independently operating dual tangential flow filtration modules.
Precise modifying method for fine particle dispersion liquid
A method for modifying a fine particle dispersion liquid with which dispersibility and dispersion stability can be improved includes performing filtration to remove impurities in a dispersion liquid using a dispersion liquid modifying device provided with a removal unit that uses a filtration membrane. The quantity of impurities is reduced from a first region until said quantity reaches a second pH-dependent region. In the second pH-dependent region, the dispersibility of the fine particles in the dispersion liquid is in a range in which the dispersibility depends more on a change in dispersion liquid pH than on a change in the quantity of impurities in the dispersion liquid. With the quantity of impurities reduced to the second pH-dependent region, the dispersibility of the fine particles is controlled by adjusting the pH of the fine particle dispersion liquid.
AGRICULTURAL SAMPLING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding. The system generally includes a sample preparation sub-system which receives soil samples collected by a probe collection sub-system and produces a slurry (i.e. mixture of soil, vegetation, and/or manure and water), and a chemical analysis sub-system which processes the prepared slurry samples for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The sample preparation and chemical analysis subsystems can be used to analyze soil, vegetation, and/or manure samples.
Automated method and apparatus for preparing bioprocess solutions
An automated method includes providing a dry ingredient to be reconstituted into a liquid bioprocess solution and controlling, by a processing circuit, all automated system including at least one mixing chamber, an array of tubing for fluid flow within the system, and a plurality of valves provided within the tubing, to automatically prepare the liquid bioprocess solution from the dry ingredient. Controlling the auto system may include performing a series of sequential mixing steps, the series of sequential mixing steps causing the preparation of the liquid bioprocess solution. The method mixing include taking one or more measurements during the preparation of the liquid bioprocess solution, wherein each step is triggered by at least one of a measurement decreasing below, equaling, or exceeding a measurement threshold. Each step may also include opening or closing, by the processing circuit, at least one of the plurality of valves.
UFB-CONTAINING LIQUID PRODUCTION APPARATUS AND UFB-CONTAINING LIQUID PRODUCTION METHOD
Provided is a UFB-containing liquid production apparatus that can efficiently produce a UFB-containing liquid with a UFB generation unit. The UFB-containing liquid production apparatus includes: a gas dissolution unit that produces a gas-dissolved liquid by dissolving a gas into a liquid supplied from a liquid supply unit; a UFB generation unit that generates UFBs in the flowing-in gas-dissolved liquid; and a circulation path that supplies the gas-dissolved liquid to the UFB generation unit and supplies a UFB-containing liquid produced by the UFB generation unit to the liquid supply unit. In the circulation path, there is provided a micro-bubble reduction unit that reduces an amount of micro-bubbles contained in the gas-dissolved liquid to flow into the UFB generation unit.

Precise modifying method for fine particle dispersion liquid
A method for modifying a fine particle dispersion liquid has excellent dispersibility and dispersion stability. In this method for modifying a fine particle dispersion liquid having improved fine particle dispersibility, impurities included in an agglomeration of fine particles contained in the fine particle dispersion liquid are released into the dispersion liquid by applying physical energy to the agglomeration and performing dispersion processing for dispersion into particles that are smaller than the agglomeration of fine particles. The impurities are removed from the dispersion liquid by means of a removal unit provided with a filtration membrane before reagglomeration is caused by the impurities.
