The retaining structure is configured to removably secure the solid product holder to the receiving structure at the second portion of the dock. The base defines a plurality of apertures that form an open area at which the liquid is received at the solid product holder. The support structure extends from the base and defines an internal volume for holding the solid product at the solid product holder.

Water dispensers for dispensing carbonized water and method

The invention relates to a carbonized water dispensing device (1) provided with a carbonized water conditioning chamber (2), which conditioning chamber (2) is provided downstream of the carbonator (7) and upstream of the carbonized water dispensing outlet (5), for receiving a mixture of carbonized water mixed with unresolved CO2, which conditioning chamber (2) is dimensioned to hold a single serve of carbonized water with a headspace, and which carbonized water conditioning chamber (2) is provided with an outlet valve (17) and a gas outlet (18). According to the invention, the carbonized water dispensing device (1) is configured to, upon receiving a beverage dispensing order, provide the empty carbonized water conditioning chamber (2) with a single serve volume of carbonized water, and hold the single serve of carbonized water prior to dispensing the single serve volume of carbonized water.

Device and method for producing a ready-to-use solution from a concentrate

A device and related method for producing a ready-to-use solution from a concentrate and a diluent includes an inlet for the diluent; an inlet for the concentrate; an outlet for the solution; a line extending from the inlet for the diluent via a confluence where diluent and concentrate meet, to the outlet; a mixing container arranged in the line between the confluence and the outlet and having a larger cross-section than parts of the line, which are arranged upstream and downstream of the mixing container; and a metering pump for the concentrate, which is connected on the suction side to the inlet for the concentrate and on the pressure side to the confluence and which operates in a pulsed manner. The metering pump works with a clock frequency, in which a plurality of pump surges are attributable to the dwell time of the liquid in the mixing container.

Systems and methods for reducing reductant deposit formation in a decomposition reactor of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine

An exhaust gas aftertreatment system includes a decomposition reactor, an injector, and a processor. The decomposition reactor includes a body, an impingement structure, and a heater. Exhaust gas is flowable through the body. The body includes an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is configured to receive the exhaust gas at a first temperature. The outlet is configured to selectively expel the exhaust gas at a second temperature greater than the first temperature. The impingement structure is disposed within the body between the inlet and the outlet. The impingement structure extends into the body and is located such that the exhaust gas flowing through the body impinges on the impingement structure. The heater is coupled to the impingement structure and configured to selectively heat the impingement structure. The injector is configured to inject reductant into the body. The processor is programmed to control the heater.
