USER MODULE FOR A PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS
A user module for a patient support is provided. The user module is coupled to a patient support barrier, such as a siderail or a footboard.
Wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and detachable armrest
A wheelchair rear wheel support assembly and a detachable arm assembly is described. The rear wheel support assembly is adjustable by finite adjustment both in the horizontal and vertical planes whereby to adjust the position of the rear wheels at a center of gravity to suit a user person to optimize the efforts of propulsion of the wheelchair by the user and thereby significantly increasing its quality of life. The detachable armrest is easily adjustable in height and can be pivoted away from its position of use by simple hand-operating levers easily accessible to the user person. It can also be easily removed with little effort.
BED RESTRAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
Bed restraining apparatus is provided including at least one bed rail protective portion for at least partly covering a surface of a bed rail in use, and at least one bed restraining portion for location over at least part of a bed in use, so as to be located between opposing sides of a bed in use and/or so as to be located between bed rails on opposing sides of a bed in use. Thee at least one bed rail protective portion is arranged so as to at least partly cover an inwardly facing side wall or side wall frame member of the bed rail in use.
HOSPITAL HEADWALL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A patient support apparatus includes a first transceiver adapted to wirelessly communicate with a second transceiver of a headwall interface that is positioned off of the patient support apparatus. A communication link is automatically established between the first and second transceivers without requiring a user of the patient support apparatus to activate a designated control and without requiring the user to identify the headwall interface. The first transceiver includes a unique identifier assigned to the headwall interface in its messages to the headwall interface. The first transceiver may also automatically transmit a disconnect signal to the headwall interface indicating the termination of the communication link is not accidental. The disconnect signal is sent based on one or more of the following: (1) a brake being off, (2) an A/C power cord being unplugged; and/or (3) a signal strength between the transceivers decreasing.
System for Predicting Departure from an Origin Based on External Factors
One embodiment of a monitoring system includes a sensing subsystem adapted to sense an external parameter within a region of interest relative to an occupant support or an occupant of the occupant support. The monitoring system also includes a processor. The processor is adapted to adapted to receive data representing the sensed external parameter and to execute machine readable instructions thereby causing the monitoring system to evaluate, based on the received data, a likelihood that the occupant will attempt an egress from the occupant support. The processor is also adapted to generate a notification of the likelihood of attempted egress.
MOBILE ISOLATION WARD
Disclosed herein is a mobile isolation ward including: a main body configured such that a door is installed in a front thereof, a fixed lighting window is installed in a right side thereof, and a light is installed at the center of a ceiling thereof; a ceiling air conditioner installed in the right side of the ceiling of the main body, and configured to control the temperature and the humidity inside the main body; an air purifier provided on one side of the inside of the main body, and configured to purify contaminated air inside the main body via a filter; and a blower configured to selectively introduce and discharge air. The junctions of the lighting window and the main body are finished with silicone. The main body is made of a glass fiber reinforced plastic material. The door and the lighting window are made of a transparent acrylic material.

SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A FOOD DISPENSER AND USES THEREOF
The present invention is related to a device for supporting a food dispenser. The device includes a strap. The strap includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The strap further includes a plurality of openings disposed between the first end and the second end. The strap also includes a plurality of markings corresponding to the plurality of openings. Each of the plurality of markings is indicative of a distance of the corresponding opening from the first end or the second end. The device also includes a retaining member detachably secured within one of the plurality of openings. The retaining member is configured to secure the food dispenser to the strap.
Patient transport apparatus with auxiliary wheel assembly
A patient transport apparatus transports a patient over a surface. The patient transport apparatus comprises a base and support wheels coupled to the base. An auxiliary wheel assembly is coupled to the base and comprises one or more auxiliary wheels that influence motion of the patient transport apparatus over the surface to assist caregivers. An actuator system is operatively coupled to the auxiliary wheels to move the auxiliary wheels relative to the base from a stowed position to a first deployed position, and further to a second deployed position.
AIR POCKET-TYPE MASSAGE DEVICE
The present invention relates to an air pocket-type massage device comprising: a bed unit (100) which is for supporting parts of the body of a user; a massage module (200) which is disposed on the bed unit (100) and comprises a plurality of air pockets; and a position adjusting means (300) which is provided on the bed unit (100) and enables changing of the position of the massage module (200). Therefore, the present invention provides an air pocket-type massage device which, when massaging particularly the calves among parts of the body of a user, can flexibly respond to changes in the user's height by means of changing the position of a massage module by means of a position adjusting means and on the basis of the changes in the user's height.
