Method for finely feeding granular solids into liquid
A method for finely feeding granular solids into a liquid, in which method granular solids and a liquid are fed into a mixing space and mixed together, and a mixture of small solid particles and liquid is discharged from the mixing space. The granular solid matter in the mixing space is subjected to a liquid flow in such a manner the granular solids are brought to roll controllably in a controlled rolling space locating in the mixing space, whereby the grains of the granular solids abrase one another while rolling and tiny particles detaching in abrasion are carried away from the mixing space along with the liquid and large grain particles continue rolling in the controlled rolling space.
Machine for dusting a profiled roof tile comprising raised patterns with particulate matter
A machine for dusting a shape with particulate matter, the shape being a profiled roof tile including raised patterns extending in the lengthwise direction thereof, and including raised portions laterally separated from hollow portions by sloped portions, the tile having a predetermined width, and being preferably corrugated, the machine including a dusting element forming a homogeneous linear curtain of particulate matter falling across the width of the tile, the tile travelling longitudinally under the linear curtain. Deflectors of the curtain are arranged above the tile to intercept the particulate matter above the areas at the bottom of the sloped portions and redistribute the intercepted particulate matter towards an intermediate level of each corresponding sloped portion in order for the amount of particulate matter on the surface of the plate ultimately to be substantially homogeneous after a portion of intercepted particulate matter has slid towards the bottom of the sloped portion.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BLENDING OF BULK DRY MATERIALS IN OIL WELL CEMENTING
The invention relates to an apparatus, system, and method for the bulk blending of dry component materials to produce a blended product mix. The apparatus utilizes a special construction that allows multiple bulk dry materials to be added simultaneously to create a blended mix compliant with a desired or specified mixture of cement components. The system is automated by use of a controller, and provides real-time data to a user as to rates and amounts of materials blended and delivered over time.
GRAVITY-FED SPIRAL FLOW TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
A gravity-fed treatment apparatus for the dispersion of an additive into a flow of granulated matter includes a vertical treatment chamber comprising a top inlet, a bottom outlet, and at least one wall disposed between the top and bottom defining an interior therebetween. The chamber further includes a feed port through the at least one wall and a plurality of vortex baffles, each extending angularly away from the wall into the interior at a respective angle. Each vortex baffle includes a flat portion and a flaring portion where the flaring portion curves away from a plane encompassing a surface of the flat portion. A portion of the flow of granulated matter spirals around an axis passing through the top and bottom of the chamber due to gravity and the shape of the vortex baffles.

Apparatus for Producing a Blank, Also a Method for This Purpose and a Blank
The present invention relates to an apparatus, preferably a press, comprising a cavity which is to be filled and at least a first material feed, for a first material, and a second material feed, for a second material, wherein the first and the second material feeds are arranged separately from one another, having a feeding apparatus for feeding the first and the second materials into the cavity which is to be filled, wherein the feeding apparatus has a mouth-opening cross section with at least a first region of the mouth-opening cross section for the first material, and with a second, separate region of the mouth-opening cross section for the second material, for filling the cavity preferably in parallel, and at separate locations. A method and also a blank are proposed in addition.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR WET CRUSHING MINED OIL SAND
A slurry preparation tower is provided comprising an intake opening through which oil sand enters the slurry preparation tower; a first sizer device operative to comminute oil sand passing through the first sizer device to a first upper size threshold; a second sizer device operative to comminute oil sand passing through the second sizer device to a second upper size threshold, wherein the second upper size threshold is less than the first upper size threshold; a first solvent supply device for adding solvent to the oil sand prior to or during its comminution in the first sizer device; and a plurality of deflector plates positioned between the first sizer device and the second sizer device to assist in the mixing of the first comminuted oil sand and solvent.
Acoustic mixers
A processing vessel (1) provided with a material inlet (2, 3, 4, 5) and a processed material outlet (25) wherein the material flows continuously through the vessel which is split into a series of zones (6, 7, 8) through which the material passes wherein the zones are shielded from each other by controlling the rate at which the material flows and an increasing level of vacuum is applied inconsecutive zones and the system is provided with acoustic energy which imparts energy to the process material by virtue of the contact between the zone dividers and the process material and processing material in such a vessel.
