MRI compatible patient trolley
A trolley system configured to transport a patient within an MRI environment includes a patient support portion, a base portion configured for movement relative to a floor, a lift coupled to the patient support portion and the base portion, an electric motor coupled to the lift, and an electric blower coupled to the patient transfer device. The lift is configured to change the elevation of the patient support portion relative to the base portion. The motor is mounted such that the elevation of the motor is fixed relative to base portion. The trolley system is positionable adjacent an MRI apparatus within the MRI environment and the magnetic field of the MRI does not interfere with the operation of the motor or blower. The trolley system may further include a patient transfer device having an air bearing. The blower is configured to deliver air to the air bearing.
Bed Pad Device
A bed pad device is disclosed, wherein the device is comprised of a generally rectangular body with at least one strap on either side of the body that may contain a hook or loop surface. An invalid user may be placed on top of the device, wherein the strap on the left side of the body is designed to meet the corresponding strap on the right side of the body, when the device is folded over itself, thereby forming a hollow cylindrical shape. The hook and loop surfaces of the straps may then be pressed together, forming a bond which holds the device together and secures the user in a desired position. Further, the straps can be wrapped around the railing of a bed, such that the position of the invalid user can be secured.
Mobile patient support chair
A mobile patient support chair to assist in bathing of a patient by a carer with little or no upper body strength comprises a chair pivotally mounted in a support frame comprised of four legs each ending in a wheel. The chair frame comprises groups of support panels which can be locked in support positions and rotated through 90 degrees to provide access to the patient's legs, buttocks and back. Additionally the chair is balanced to allow easy rotation into a fully backwards lying position, and a fully forward lying position. In the fully forward lying position flexible retaining strips are placed across the patient to retain them in place. Additionally the wheels may be step-climbing wheels to assist in climbing small steps found in bathroom entrances and shower cubicles.
Apparatus and Method for an effortless transition to a prone position for patients suffering from SARS-COV-2
The invention relates to a prone position device that is modular and has universal integration capability, for an effortless transition to a prone position in patients suffering from SARS-CoV-2 or any acute respiratory distress syndrome through the use of a mechanical means that may be fitted into a full spectrum of beds to support a multitude of resting positions for the patient.
PUMP APPARATUS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM AND METHOD
A pump apparatus includes a pump configured for moving air, a housing supporting the pump, and an air output hose in communication with the pump. The housing further includes a rest for retaining a portion of the air output hose. The rest forms a u-shape having two side walls and a valley therebetween.
Standing aid for helping a person stand up
A standing aid for helping a person stand up is proposed, having a frame, at least one support arm arranged movably on the frame and with handles, and a drive device coupled to the frame and to the at least one support arm in order to move the at least one support arm to a lowered and to a raised position, and having at least one padded rest configured to support the shins of the person during the movement of the at least one support arm. The padded rest is formed from a viscoelastic foam with a thickness of at least 6 cm and is dimensioned in such a way that the person's kneecaps at all times bear on the padded rest during the movement of the support arm.
LIFTING DEVICES POSITIONABLE IN HIGH RANGE POSITIONS AND LOW RANGE POSITIONS
Lifting devices for positioning a lift actuator in a high range position and a low range position are disclosed. The lifting devices may include a lift mast, a lift arm pivotally coupled to the lift mast, a lift actuator having a first end and a second end, and a linkage member having a first end and a second end. The first end of the lift actuator is pivotally coupled to the lift mast. The first end of the linkage member is pivotally coupled to the lift arm and the second end of the linkage member is pivotally coupled to the second end of the lift actuator such that the lift actuator includes a high range position relative to the lift arm and a low range position relative to the lift arm.
LIFTING DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A lifting device including a top member, a pair of side members, a plurality of shield members, and a hoist member. The pair of side members may be attached to the top member and may have a plurality of leg members. The plurality of shield members may be attached to and extending between an upper portion of the pair of side members. The hoist member may be attached to a portion of the top member and may have a load member that may be carried within the hoist member. The hoist member may be configured to rotate the load member between a wound position and an unwound position. The top member and the plurality of shield members may be configured to move between a collapsed position and an extended position.
Repositioning system for the safe repositioning of a patient
The invention relates to a transfer device with a roll cloth for transferring patients, wherein the roll cloth has a tubular sleeve with two open ends. In order to satisfy high standards of hygiene and to permit easy cleaning, the roll cloth has, at each of the open ends of the sleeve, a peripheral end profile with an inner face and an outer face, which end profile is elastic, wherein, in the ready-to-use state of the roll cloth, the inner face of an upper portion of the end profile lies on the inner face of a lower portion of the end profile.
MOTORISED APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING WITH WALKING, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAID ASSISTING APPARATUS WITH AN ELECTRONIC HANDLE
The invention relates to an electronic handle (1) or a walking assistance apparatus equipped with such a handle, said electronic handle being arranged so as to allow the measurement of at least one component of a force applied thereto, said handle (1) comprising a central part (10) and an outer jacket (20), said electronic handle (1) being characterized in that it comprises a first photoelectric cell (30) and a first shutter element (40), arranged so that a force applied to the electronic handle (1) is capable of causing a change in the amount of photons received by a first receiver (32), said change being proportional to a first component of the force applied to the electronic handle (1).
