Exhaust line with a reagent injector
The exhaust line comprises an injection segment including at least one cup having a large upstream face directly sprayed with the exhaust gases and dividing a circulation passage into an upstream space and a downstream space. The injection segment comprises at least one circumferential conduit fluidically connecting the upstream space to the downstream space. The cup defines at least one injection channel and at least one guiding area laid out so as to guide as far as said injection channel a portion of the exhaust gases spraying the large upstream face. An injection device includes a reagent injector that is oriented to inject the reagent substantially with a co-current or counter-current of the exhaust gases in the injection channel, with the latter extending from the injector as far as the inlet of the conduit.
Mixing Reactor and Related Process
A mixing reactor for precipitating nanoparticles by mixing a precursor fluid with a second fluid at a higher temperature than the precursor fluid. The reactor comprises: a first fluid conduit with an inlet region configured to receive a flow of the precursor fluid, and an outlet region configured to output a mixed flow; and a second fluid conduit configured to receive a flow of the second fluid. The second fluid conduit extends into the first fluid conduit in a direction substantially perpendicular to the flow within the first fluid conduit, and has an opening for introducing the second fluid into the first fluid conduit. Related processes for producing nanoparticles are disclosed.
SYSTEM FOR MIXING A LIQUID SPRAY INTO A GASEOUS FLOW AND EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
The invention pertains to a spray/gas mixer, comprising: a main body having a circumferential wall with a first longitudinal axis (A) and extending from a first end to a second end, the first end defining an inlet opening, the second end defining an outlet opening; a divider baffle inside the interior; a swirl duct within the interior along a second longitudinal axis (B), having one end adjacent to the wall and a second end extending to the divider baffle; an injector orifice at the first end of the swirl duct; a swirl promoting means; and a restrictor arrangement. The swirl promoting means is arranged between the divider baffle and the restrictor arrangement, such that gas passing through the swirl promoting means is swirled around the first longitudinal axis (A) before passing through the restrictor. The restrictor arrangement is disposed between the swirl promoting means and the second end, forcing gas reaching it from an upstream side away from a peripheral region of the interior towards a center axis of the main body.
APPARATUS FOR MIXING EXHAUST GAS AND AN ADDITIVE
An apparatus for mixing an exhaust gas stream with an additive, in particular a reducing agent. The apparatus has a mixing pipe for mixing the exhaust gas stream with the additive. The apparatus has a first deflection pipe for deflecting the exhaust gas stream, in particular by about 180. The exhaust gas stream can be fed to the mixing pipe on the end side via the first deflection pipe. The first deflection pipe has a fastening region for attaching an additive injector to the first deflection pipe. The first deflection pipe has a swirl generating wall region arranged on the end side with respect to the mixing pipe and is configured to impart a swirl to the exhaust gas stream.
DOSING AND MIXING ARRANGEMENT FOR USE IN EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT
A dosing and mixing arrangement includes a mixing tube having a constant diameter along its length. At least a first portion of the mixing tube includes a plurality of apertures. The arrangement also includes a swirl structure for causing exhaust flow to swirl outside of the first portion of the mixing tube in one direction along a flow path that extends at least 270 degrees around a central axis of the mixing tube. The arrangement is configured such that the exhaust enters an interior of the mixing tube through the apertures as the exhaust swirls along the flow path. The exhaust entering the interior of the mixing tube through the apertures has a tangential component that causes the exhaust to swirl around the central axis within the interior of the mixing tube. The arrangement also includes a doser for dispensing a reactant into the interior of the mixing tube.
Dosing and mixing arrangement for use in exhaust aftertreatment
Dosing and mixing exhaust gas includes directing exhaust gas towards a periphery of a mixing tube that is configured to direct the exhaust gas to flow around and through the mixing tube to effectively mix and dose exhaust gas within a relatively small area. Some mixing tubes include a slotted region and a non-slotted region. Some mixing tubes include a louvered region and a non-louvered region. Some mixing tubes are offset within a mixing region of a housing.
Exhaust Aftertreatment System Having Mixer Assembly
A mixer assembly for mixing an injected reductant with an exhaust gas output from a combustion engine comprises a mixer housing including a wall defining an exhaust passageway having a longitudinal axis. A tubular swirling device housing extends along a first axis substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis. The tubular swirling device includes a plurality of openings through which exhaust gas enters. The exhaust gas within the tubular swirling device swirls about the first axis and exits at an outlet end of the tubular swirling device. A mixing plate is positioned immediately downstream of the tubular swirling device. The mixing plate swirls the exhaust about a second axis extending parallel to the longitudinal axis.
DOSING AND MIXING ARRANGEMENT FOR USE IN EXHAUST AFTERTREATMENT
A method for causing exhaust gas flow to flow at least 270 degrees in a first direction about a perforated tube using a baffle plate having a main body with a plurality of flow-through openings and a plurality of louvers positioned adjacent to the flow-through openings. The method includes deflecting a first portion of the exhaust gas flow with the main body of the baffle plate. The method also includes allowing a second portion of the exhaust gas flow to flow through the flow-through openings of the baffle plate. The method also deflects the second portion of the exhaust gas flow at a downstream side of the main body with the louvers hereby causing the second portion of the exhaust gas flow to flow in the first direction about the perforated tube.
REDUCING AGENT MIXER
The present disclosure relates to mixing devices included in automotive exhaust treatment systems. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to reducing agent mixers for mixing reducing agents with exhaust streams to induce a chemical reaction between the reducing agent and exhaust gasses to reduce Nitrous Oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gas. Reducing agent mixers in accordance with the present disclosure include reducing agent delivery devices for conducting reducing agents into an internal mixing space through which exhaust gasses flow.
MIXER AND VAPORIZATION APPARATUS
