Mobile seat supporting transfer apparatus
Transfer apparatus designed as a mobile, generally C-shaped frame assembly including top and bottom portions removably connected by at least one spacer and a seat adapted to support a patient in a sitting or suspended sitting position at multiple levels. A horizontal part of the top portion is a seat support, the bottom portion is a wheeled base, and spacers fix a selected height of the seat support. The apparatus operates on patient support surfaces with and without vertical movement capability, enables use of a commode over and away from the bed by the patient in a seating position, and enables changing of a seat under the sitting patient. The transfer apparatus provides a cost effective, lightweight, rigid, without moving parts mobile seat support assembly as a commode/wheelchair (C/W) capable of performing multifunctional safe patient transfer to and from patient support surfaces with and without vertical movement.
Integrated hospital bed with bath and wash facilities
The embodiments herein discloses a patient friendly bed provided with a toilet facility that enables the patient to use the toilet without assistance and without leaving the bed. A mattress provided in the bed comprises a trap door which separates to allow the patient to perform bodily functions. The bed comprises a cleaning and waste packaging mechanism for packaging solid and liquid waste in a sealed container and for storing the packaged waste for later removal. The bed is operable using a remote control unit. A sensor device is worn around the patient waist and stomach area to sense a need of the patient to perform bodily functions and automatically operate the bed functions.
DEVICES FOR THE DISCHARGE OF BODILY WASTES
Devices for the discharge of bodily waste, in particular for the soiling-free discharge of bodily waste from a person situated on a bed or a seat. A bed's mattress (2) is provided with a slot (4) that may be opened and closed, and which extends continuously through the thickness of the mattress (2). The slot is controllably openable and closable via an actuated mechanism that may be power driven. Hygienic elimination of bodily waste while lying down or sitting may be achieved with little effort.
Cleaner Smaller Bathrooms
A retractable, height-adjustable urinal requiring no water that can be enclosed into a separate closed compartment for cleaning/disinfecting along with a waterless toilet that packages and disposes of solid waste, in a smaller place.
Bedpan liner with drawstring
A bedpan liner with drawstring including a liner assembly, a conduit assembly, and a drawstring assembly. The bedpan liner is a flexible liner The bedpan liner has a shape that conforms to the shape of a bedpan. The liner assembly includes an upper portion and a lower portion. The lower portion is used as a waste compartment. The conduit assembly includes a conduit, a first opening and a second opening. The drawstring assembly includes a drawstring. The drawstring is inserted into said first or second opening and goes through the conduit. The drawstring emerges from the first opening and second opening of the edge portion. The drawstring surrounds the edge of the bedpan liner. The conduit slidably contracts along said drawstring to close said liner to secure the bedpan liner during removal and disposal.
SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING BODY WASTE OF NON-AMBULATORY PATIENTS
A body waste collection system for bedridden or chair-bound patients. A waste entry port may interface with a resting surface of the bed or chair by way of a funnel that terminates at the resting surface. A collection unit may be fluidly coupled to the waste entry port by a flexible conduit system. The collection unit may include a temperature gauge, a volume measure, a sample port, and an odor removal port. Once the bedridden or chair-bound patient has assumed a release position along the resting surface defined by the waste entry port, no other lifting or movement of the patient is needed to collect their body waste in the collection unit, which can utilize the integrated hardware.
BEDPAN ASSEMBLY WITH LINER ATTACHMENTS
A bedpan assembly with a portable bedpan housing with a sidewall and a bottom wall surrounded by the sidewall, the sidewall and bottom wall defining an enclosed housing interior cavity and the sidewall having a front end, a rear end, opposing sides, and defining a plurality of enclosed sidewall apertures each respectively disposed proximal to the front end of the sidewall and proximal to each of the opposing sides of the sidewall. The bedpan assembly also includes a plurality of grommets each respectively disposed within one of the plurality of sidewall apertures, retained by the sidewall, and having a plurality of independently flexible flange members defining a plurality of tightly spaced flange member slits, the plurality of independently flexible flange members operably configured to independently flex within the one of the plurality of sidewall apertures and retain a liner within.
