A modular mixing impeller assembly that includes one or more connection tubes, and one or more impellers configured for assembly to the one or more connection tubes. Each of the one or more impellers has a plurality of mixing blades. Each of the one or more impellers is assembled onto at least one connection tube via a friction fit such that each of the one or more impellers is configured to rotate with its attached connection tube, and wherein the assembly between impeller and connection tube creates an airtight and water-tight seal.

Sludge blending thickener

In a sludge thickener water/wastewater treatment system, sludge solids are recirculated with a mixer positioned in the influent column or offset from the center column and within the stilling well, in order to produce essentially constant sludge solids concentration in the sludge withdrawn from the thickener. This solves the problem of thickeners producing inconsistent underflow solids concentration and often exhibiting problems with binding of rake arms due to sometimes very high sludge concentrations. Also, dewatering steps that follow thickening typically require a relatively constant solids concentration for efficient operation.

BONE CEMENT MIXING CARTRIDGE AND METHOD OF USE
20180325573 · 2018-11-15 ·

A container for bone cement includes a first member defining a chamber, which contains a first ingredient. The chamber also includes a second member movably coupled to the first member. The second member includes a mixing device that is movably disposed within the first chamber, and the second member defines a second chamber containing a second ingredient. The container additional includes an opening device that selectively opens the second chamber and allows the second ingredient to enter from the second chamber into the first chamber. The mixing device is movable within the first chamber to promote mixing of the first ingredient and the second ingredient to prepare the bone cement. A corresponding method of preparing bone cement is also disclosed.

Post/Pedestal-Mounted IBC Mixing/Blending Machine
20180304216 · 2018-10-25 ·

A blending machine, for homogenizing materials deposited within an intermediate bulk container (IBC), includes: a frame; a drive motor; a clamp disk rotatably supported by the frame and coupled to the drive motor to drive disk rotation; first and second jaw clamps movably mounted to the frame; and a drive mechanism to drive the jaw clamps to translate toward each other and rotatably secure the IBC's boom to the rotatable clamp disk. A clutch, a torque limiter, and a limit switch limit the pressure applied by the clamps, and the extent of their travel to optimize clamping and rotatabilty. The blending machine is moveably mounted to a pedestal and elevated by an actuator. A blending bar within the IBC is coupled through the boom to the clamp disk, and driven to rotate to blend the materials, in addition to mixing by rotation of the ICB.

APPARATUS FOR TREATING AND COOLING FOUNDRY MOULDING SAND
20180229196 · 2018-08-16 ·

The present invention concerns an apparatus for treating and cooling foundry moulding sand, comprising a mixing container and a mixing tool rotatable about a drive shaft, wherein there is provided an air feed for the feed of air into the container interior. To provide an improved apparatus with which a more uniform fluidised layer is produced as far as possible over the entire cross-section of the mixing container, wherein moreover the proportion of the solid particles entrained with the gas flow is to be reduced, it is proposed according to the invention that the mixing tool has at least two mixing vanes spaced from each other in the vertical direction and at least one mixing vane has a mixer blade with a surface which is inclined relative to the horizontal.

HIGH THERMAL TRANSFER HOLLOW CORE EXTRUSION SCREW ASSEMBLY

High thermal transfer, hollow core extrusion screws (50, 52, 124, 126, 190) include elongated hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192) equipped with helical fighting (56, 132, 134, 194) along the lengths thereof. Inside a driven cylindrical housing 23 that is a cylindrical rotation member 13, a liquid to be mixed 4 is caused to become an inner circulation current f by extruded plate portions 24A-24D. Discharge ports 22A-22D formed in the cylindrical housing 21 discharge a portion of the inner circulation current f outward as outer discharge current d1-d4 by centrifugal force. At the same time, the outer portion of the liquid to be mixed 4 is sucked into suction ports 23, 30 as suction current e1-e3, h1-h4, thus mixing the liquid to be mixed 4 in the mixing tank 3.
