Vertical shaft high-shear mixer for de-agglomeration, and associated methods and systems
Disclosed is a deagglomeration apparatus, to improve the quality of a mixture used for the production of concrete blocks. An illustrative embodiment of the deagglomerator comprises a vertical shaft high-shear mixer, wherein a rotational force (hydraulic or electric) is mounted to a vertical shaft onto which are mounted chains and/or knives, housed within a flexible rubber boot or tube. The deagglomerator is configured to be controllably powered, to rotate the shaft and the attached tools. Partially mixed formula is introduced to a top region of the deagglomerator, and falls downwardly past the rotating tools wherein the formula is pulverized and mixed, before exiting the lower area of the mixing region.
DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY DECOMPOSING RARE EARTH CONCENTRATE ORE
Provided is a device for continuously decomposing a rare earth concentrate ore. The device includes a body, a bidirectional propeller and a driving assembly. The body has a material inlet, two liquid inlets and two exhaust gas outlets disposed at the top of the body, two material outlets disposed at the bottom of the body and a heat preservation chamber provided inside a side wall of the body. The bidirectional propeller is provided in the body and extends along a length direction of the body. The driving assembly is connected to the rotating shaft.
APPARATUS FOR TREATING MIXED WASTE AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating mixed waste, for example, an apparatus for degrading bioplastic material in the mixed waste. The apparatus includes an electromagnetic wave emitter adapted to emit an electromagnetic wave on to the mixed waste; a movement inducing device adapted to move the mixed waste when the electromagnetic wave is being emitted onto the mixed waste such that the mixed waste is moved to increase the exposure of the mixed waste to the electromagnetic wave; and at least one of a heat emitter adapted to emit heat and a moisture emitter adapted to emit moisture onto the mixed waste. The present invention further relates to a method of treating mixed waste.
MIXER/VACUUM COATER
A mixer unit comprising a mixing chamber comprising a de-agglomerator with a de-agglomeration shaft with de-agglomeration means, a mixer with a mixer shaft with two or more mixing paddles, arranged for mixing and impelling particles and powders in an upstream direction towards the de-agglomerator wherein said de-agglomeration shaft is arranged above, and in parallel with said mixer shaft, so that all particles will be impelled towards the de-agglomerator, each time particles are lifted. Further said mixing chamber comprising a first portion of said mixing chamber having an inner profile adjacent and curved about an upper part of said de-agglomerator and arranged to guide particles and powders impelled by said mixing paddles over said de-agglomeration shaft and into a liquid spray.
CONTINUOUS COMPOUNDING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
Continuous compounding systems include a feeding section and a compounding section. Method for compounding or mixing solid matter and liquid matter include providing a continuous compounding system, adding matter to the continuous compounding system, and mixing or compounding the matter.
Installation for producing and/or processing confectionery masses and method for producing and/or processing confectionery masses
An installation and method for producing and/or processing confectionery masses which are made from at least one liquid raw material and granular and/or powdery raw materials. The installation includes at least a first mixing container and at least one further product-processing device. The first mixing container has at least one raw-material inlet and a product outlet and a mixing device for mixing the raw materials at least largely homogeneously. At least the mixing container includes at least one spraying device in an upper container region, which at least one spraying device serves to feed the at least one liquid raw material, wherein at least one outlet cone of the spraying device is directed, at least in some regions, toward an inner wall surface of the first mixing container.
Apparatus, systems and methods for on site mixing
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to devices, systems and methods for mixing particulate matter such as salt with moisture. In various implementations, the mixer is transportable. In various implementations the mixer comprises a hopper, at least one auger, and a mixing housing. Various implementations, additionally include at least one liquid tank.
Method of operating a batch mixer and batch mixer for performing the method
The invention provides a method of operating a batch mixer for producing first and second numbers of mixtures from first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed in the batch mixer, the batch mixer comprising a mixing chamber, a mixing element disposed within the mixing chamber, the mixing element and the mixing chamber being configured for providing an identical flow of the materials to be mixed within the mixing chamber and around the mixing element regardless of in which of the first and second opposite directions the mixing element is rotated, and a motor assembly coupled to the mixing element for rotating the mixing element for mixing the first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed for producing the first and second numbers of mixtures. The method comprises the steps of energizing said motor assembly for rotating said mixing element in said first direction, for each one of the first number of batches of the materials to be mixed: loading the one of the first number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the first number of batches of materials for producing one of the first number of mixtures, and removing the one of the first number of mixtures from the mixing chamber, energizing the motor assembly for rotating the mixing element in the second direction, and for each one of the second number of batches of the materials to be mixed loading the one of the second number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the second number of batches of materials for producing one of the second number of mixtures, and removing the one of the second number of mixtures from the mixing chamber.
FIREFIGHTING POLYMER GEL PREPARATION ONBOARD AIRCRAFT
A tank on a firefighting aircraft initially is loaded with water. A polymer gel emulsion vessel is provided on the aircraft, but is not activated and mixed with tank water until such polymer gel preparation is initiated by an operator. When initiated, a pump pulls water from the tank and doses it with gel emulsion. Double elbows and/or the pump impeller fully activates the polymer gel. The activated polymer gel is mixed within the tank by one of a variety of systems including mixing paddles or sparging with gas. In one embodiment, a hollow tower of telescoping form has a float to keep an upper end near a surface in the tank and a sparging gas entry is a controlled distance below the surface, such that gas of limited pressure, such as from a ram air inlet can sparge and mix the water and activated polymer gel emulsion effectively.
