A port structure of a containment apparatus is capable of providing a highly reliable port by means of a structure with which a port can be formed in any size at any position and high airtightness thereof can be maintained. The port structure has: a port formation hole that is formed in a transparent synthetic resin sheet defining at least a part of a chamber; an inner ring member disposed on the inner surface side of the port formation hole; an outer ring member disposed on the outer surface side of the port formation hole; and a fastening member that joins the inner ring member and the outer ring member to each other while having a rim portion of the port formation hole held therebetween.

ISOLATION ROOM SYSTEMS AND METHODS

An isolation room system comprising a plurality of walls defining a first chamber; and including an air filtration system that pulls air from within at least the first chamber through a filter.

Containment unit for reducing spread of nasal/oral aerosols

Equipment for reducing spread of aerosol and other droplets in nasal and oral airways is provided. The equipment includes a shield optionally combined with a drape. The equipment limits the spread of aerosol and other droplets from a person's mouth and nose thereby reducing the need to decontaminate the procedure room after a procedure. The equipment also provides additional protection to the care-provider conducting the procedure. Additionally, the containment unit also reduces the exposure of the person to pathogens during the procedure, e.g., to pathogens present in the room where procedure is conducted and/or pathogens from the care provider. The equipment or parts thereof may be for single-use or can be reused after disinfection.
