SHAKING AND/ OR MIXING DEVICE
A shaking and/or mixing device comprises: a drive (7a) having a drive shaft (7), an eccentric unit (4) driven by the drive shaft (7) and having an eccentric hub (14), and a holder (20) for receiving at least one sample to be treated by the shaking and/or mixing device (1). The eccentric hub (14) and the holder (20) are connectable to one another by means of a releasable connection in order to transmit a movement of the eccentric hub (14) onto the holder (20) and the releasable connection is provided as an extension of the drive shaft (7).

The rinse station apparatus includes: (a) a cartridge docking station having a base with a recessed receptacle for a cartridge, a vertical support coupled to the base's first end and a top support coupled to the vertical support and cantilevered over the base, the top support has an opening that aligns with the cartridge's opening, (b) a locking arm coupled to the base's second end, the locking arm's free end has a ridge to cooperate with a detent coupled to the cartridge's rear wall to retain the cartridge in place, (c) a spring coupled to the vertical support's front face to apply force to the cartridge's front wall to bias the cartridge toward the locking arm, and (d) a load cell coupled to the base of the cartridge docking station, the load cell measure's the cartridge's weight.

Sample shaker system with sealed airflow
A sealed airflow system suitable for use with a sample shaker assembly. The sealed airflow system includes at least one component which accommodates movement of the sample shaker assembly while maintaining an air tight assembly between components of the sealed air flow system. A compliant sliding seal compensates for movement of the sample shaker assembly with regard to an air intake side of the sealed airflow control system. Additionally, a flexible conduit provides an air tight passage between an outlet of the sealed airflow control system and an exhaust port. The flexible conduit compensates for movement of the sample shaker assembly in a manner that does not permit unwanted airflow into or out of sealed airflow control system.
