PORTABLE FORMULATING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM
This disclosure provides systems and methods for the production of formulations of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). In some embodiments, the disclosure provides an automated medicine formulation system comprising a portable and self-contained API formulating apparatus where the API and excipients are formulated to make a drug product meeting drug quality and safety specifications. The automated formulation system produces liquid formulations including, for example, injectable and intravenous medicines. The systems are capable of producing a plurality of individual sterile injectable doses of drug comprising a specific API and excipient(s), which can be formulated on demand in a GMP and FDA acceptable manner.

Rapid-agitation mixer for food products
The techniques described herein provide, in one embodiment, a rapid-agitation mixer for food products that comprises a product holder configured to hold a sealed product cup containing a food product to be mixed, and a drive shaft along an agitation axis, the drive shaft configured to secure the product holder and product cup in place. The illustrative mixer also comprises a drive motor configured to reciprocate the drive shaft in opposing directions, where the product holder correspondingly reciprocates the product cup to churn the food product within the product cup.

The invention relates to a bag locking mechanism comprising, a fixed locking means (106), provided with a first abutment surface (116), a movable locking means (108; 208), which is movable between a locking position and a releasing position, and a second abutment surface (118; 218) arranged on the movable locking means (108; 208). The fixed locking means (106) defines by its configuration, at least partly a restricted locking space (114), in which the movable locking means (108; 208) is movable between the locking and releasing position.
Fluid mixing system with tiltable support housing
A fluid mixing system that can be used as a bioreactor or fermentor can include a stand and a support housing pivotably mounted to the stand. The support housing bounds a chamber into which a container assembly is removably disposed. The container assembly includes a flexible bag bounding a compartment adapted to hold a fluid and a mixing element disposed within the compartment. The support housing can be tilted relative to the stand for ease in insertion of the container assembly. The support housing can also be repeatedly rocked relative to the stand form mixing fluid within the container assembly.
METHODS FOR FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS WITH TILTABLE SUPPORT HOUSING
A method for mixing a fluid includes: dispensing a first volume of a fluid into a flexible container, the flexible container being at least partially disposed within the chamber of a support housing; repeatedly moving the support housing and the flexible container contained therein so as to mix the first volume of fluid within the flexible container; adding further fluid into the flexible container after moving the support housing to form a second volume of fluid; and manipulating a mixing element within the flexible container so as to mix the second volume of fluid.
