Ink jet recording apparatus

A printer includes a first cartridge holder including a first insertion port in which a first ink cartridge housing a first ink pack charged with a sedimentation ink is inserted and which is open horizontally, the first cartridge holder housing the inserted first ink cartridge, a first shaft pivotably supporting the first cartridge holder, a first driving mechanism that causes the first cartridge holder to pivot about the first shaft, and a controller that controls the first driving mechanism. The controller includes a first controller that controls the first driving mechanism to cause the first cartridge holder to pivot and agitate the sedimentation ink contained in the first ink pack.

Mixing unit for mixing fluids

A mixing unit (100) for mixing of fluids is disclosed. The mixing unit (100) includes a mixing chamber (102) for holding one or more fluids and a driving assembly (104) operatively engaged to the mixing chamber (102). The driving assembly (104) is configured to oscillate the mixing chamber (102) for mixing the one or more fluids. The mixing chamber (102) of the mixing unit (100) enables better mixing of fluids in a convenient manner. Further less amount of cleaning fluids may be only required for cleaning the mixing chamber (102) after the mixing process. The mixing unit (100) can be used for mixing amino acids with different fluids however this unit can be used for mixing other fluids as well.

A mixing machine includes a mixing head and at least one connection means for connecting a mixing container containing material to be mixed to said mixing head for forming a closed mixing container. The mixing head, as part of a pivotable assembly, is pivotably mounted with respect to a frame such that the closed mixing container formed from the mixing head and the mixing container can be pivoted relative to the frame for performing the mixing process. The mixing head carries at least one rotationally-driven mixing tool. The mixing head comprises a head plate having a connecting flange molded thereon which is configured as an annular disc and comprises a planar contact surface. The contact surface of said connecting flange has a radial extension such that mixing containers with different connection diameters on their mixing head connection side can be connected to said mixing head. The at least one connection means is configured for gripping mixing containers which differ in the diameter of their connection sides.

A posture controller corrects a stop position of the rotating holder to position the cartridge in a first posture in a case where an operation of the drive motor is stopped in a state where the cartridge is in a second posture that is different from the first posture. The first posture is a state in which the cartridge is in a normal stop posture.
