Thermotherapy device

A patient bed assembly unit as well as to a thermotherapy device for newborns includes a bed frame and a drawer. The bed frame has a drawer guide configured to make possible a drawer movement from a central pushed-in position in the bed frame along a first pull-out direction and in a second pull-out direction, which direction is opposite the first pull-out direction, into a pulled-out position of the drawer. A drawer-centering device acts on the drawer to move it into the central pushed-in position. The drawer can be removed from the guide. A drawer anti-tilt device is provided, which transmits a torque acting on the drawer directly to a bed frame and prevents the downward tilting of the drawer relative to the bed frame about an axis extending at right angles to the pull-out directions.

Infant warming system having ECG monitor and method for providing resuscitation assistance

An infant warming system includes a frame structure, a platform for supporting an infant that is connected to the frame structure, a radiant warmer supported on the frame structure above the platform, an ECG connection port configured to connect to ECG electrodes, and an ECG monitor housed on the frame structure, the ECG monitor receiving cardiac potentials from the ECG electrodes connected to the infant. The infant warming system further includes a control system configured to process the cardiac potentials to detect each heart beat of the infant, calculate a heart rate for the infant based on a detected heart beats, and display the heart rate on a display device associated with the infant warming system.

Bassinet

A bassinet includes a base, a column assembly rotatably connected to the base at a first end of the column assembly, an arm rotatably connected to a second end of the column assembly, a tub frame pivotably connected to the arm, an infant tub retained within the tub frame, the infant tub including a front wall, a back wall, and two side walls and having areas of reduced height along the front wall and at least one of the side walls to provide enhanced access to the infants located within the infant tub, and an insert configured to reversibly fit within an interior of the infant tub.

MRI Transfer Assembly

The present disclosure relates to a transfer cart suitable for use in association with an MR scanner. The transfer cart may include a transfer table assembly coupled to the support frame such that the transfer table assembly and the horizontal support structure portion of the support frame extend substantially perpendicularly from the vertical support structure of the support frame and in substantially parallel planes to each other. The transfer table assembly may be maintained at substantially the same vertical level of a scanning bore of an MR scanner. The transfer cart may include a frame designed to dock with the MR scanner.

MODULAR MICROCLIMATE VETERINARY INCUBATOR

A veterinary incubator is disclosed, that features a modular hygienic design ceramic infrared based veterinary incubator that fully disassembles for disinfection. The invention heats a puppy more deeply and can be tailored to the specific condition of the puppy, allowing for better processing of colostrum and food—leading to a better weight gain, a stronger immune system and eyes opening sooner that competitive products with puppies from the same litter. The invention can be fully disassembled with 100% user replaceable modular components to allow for more effective disinfecting and elimination of service calls. The invention created a microenvironment that compliments a small animal's ability to seek our warmer and cooler parts of their environment to regulate body temperature and can be adjusted to allow for only good choices based upon the small animal's condition.

Incubator

An incubator includes an incubator main body, a baby accommodation chamber disposed in the incubator main body and capable of being shielded from external air, and a humidifier disposed in the incubator main body so as to generate steam for supplying humidified air into the baby accommodation chamber. The humidifier has a connection portion to which a water supply hose is connectable so as to supply water for generating the steam from a water supply container located outside the incubator main body. In addition, the humidifier includes a humidifying tank which stores the water for generating the steam, a water supply port portion which supplies the water into the humidifying tank in communication with the connection portion, and a float valve which opens and closes the water supply port portion by moving upward and downward in response to a water level of the water stored inside the humidifying tank.

MRI transfer table assembly and cart apparatus

The present disclosure relates to a transfer table assembly and cart apparatus suitable for use in association with an MR scanner. The transfer table assembly may include a transfer table base and a supporting mechanism coupling the transfer table base to a transfer table cart in a cantilevered fashion at substantially the same level of a scanning bore of an MR scanner. The transfer table cart may include a frame designed to dock with the MR scanner.

RF SHIELDING CHANNEL IN MRI-INCUBATORS CLOSURE ASSEMBLY

A neonate incubator for positioning a neonate within a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device is provided. The neonate incubator can include: a proximal end and a distal end; a radio frequency (RF) shielding door coupled to the distal end, the RF shielding door to mate with a bore of the MRI device to provide RF shielding; and a RF channel that extends along an axis that is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the neonate incubator from an interior chamber of the neonate incubator through the RF shielding door, the RF channel having a length to width ratio of at least 5 to 1.

Aeration method of isolator system

In an aeration method for an isolator system, an incubator is connected to an isolator through a chamber. After closing a door at each sidewall of the chamber, a decontaminating gas is supplied to the chamber through gas supply passages to decontaminate the inside thereof. Next, air is supplied into the chamber through the gas supply passages and an initial aeration is carried out by discharging the decontamination gas through a gas discharge passage. Then, after a door between the isolator and the chamber is opened, and blowers are stopped, gas at a positive pressure in the isolator is introduced into the chamber. The decontaminating gas in the chamber is rapidly discharged to an outside through the gas supply passages and the gas discharge passage, and aeration in the chamber is completed. The time required for aeration of the chamber can be drastically reduced as compared with conventional aeration processes.

Autoregulation of irradiance in phototherapy systems

A device for providing phototherapy. The device has lights that emit irradiance to provide phototherapy. The lights are positionable to emit the irradiance towards a patient. An enclosure is connected to a base and supports the lights. A control module is operatively connected to the lights and controls the irradiance emitted from the lights. A non-transitory memory module is operatively connected to the control module and stores a control program. A plurality of sensors is operatively connected to the control module and are configured to sense a current position of the lights. The control program is configured to receive inputs that include at least the current position of the lights and to provide outputs to the control module based at least in part on the inputs. The control module controls the irradiance emitted from the plurality of lights based at least in part on the outputs.
