INSTALLABLE RF COIL ASSEMBLY
20200383602 · 2020-12-10 · ·

A maneuverable RF coil assembly, useful for being maneuvered at both positions: (i) over at least a portion of a neonate immobilized within a cradle at time of MR imaging; and (ii) below or aside the cradle when it is not required for imaging. The maneuverable RF coil assembly comprises at least one RF coil and maneuvering mechanism. The maneuvering mechanism comprises both: (i) a linear reciprocating mechanism for approaching or otherwise drawing away at least one coil to and from the neonate; and (ii) tilting mechanism for placing at least one coil away from the neonate.

THERMOTHERAPY DEVICE

A patient bed assembly unit as well as to a thermotherapy device for newborns includes a bed frame and a drawer. The bed frame has a drawer guide configured to make possible a drawer movement from a central pushed-in position in the bed frame along a first pull-out direction and in a second pull-out direction, which direction is opposite the first pull-out direction, into a pulled-out position of the drawer. A drawer-centering device acts on the drawer to move it into the central pushed-in position. The drawer can be removed from the guide. A drawer anti-tilt device is provided, which transmits a torque acting on the drawer directly to a bed frame and prevents the downward tilting of the drawer relative to the bed frame about an axis extending at right angles to the pull-out directions.

RF shielding channel in MRI-incubator's closure assembly

A neonate incubator for positioning a neonate within a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device is provided. The neonate incubator can include RF shielding that can provide RF shielding during imaging, for example, while life support tubes are connected to the neonate during MRI imaging. The RF shielding can include a door to mate with a bore of the MRI device to provide the RF shielding, and a RF channel that extends along an axis that is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the neonate incubator from an interior chamber of the neonate incubator through the RF shielding door.

INFANT WARMING SYSTEM HAVING ECG MONITOR AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING RESUSCITATION ASSISTANCE

An infant warming system can include a platform for supporting an infant, at least two chest electrodes configured to connect to and detect cardiac potentials from a chest of the infant, an ECG monitor configured to receive the cardiac potentials from the at least two chest electrodes, a pulse oximeter device configured to determine an SpO.sub.2 for the infant, and a processor configured to determine one or more activation thresholds for the infant, wherein the one or more activation thresholds represent one or more target saturation levels for the infant. The processor can also compare the heart rate for the infant to a first heart rate threshold and compare the SpO2 for the infant to the one or more target saturation levels, adjust a display on a display device based on the comparisons, and generate a care instruction for a care stage based on the SpO2 of the infant.

BASSINET

A bassinet includes a base, a column assembly rotatably connected to the base at a first end of the column assembly, an arm rotatably connected to a second end of the column assembly, a tub frame pivotably connected to the arm, an infant tub retained within the tub frame, the infant tub including a front wall, a back wall, and two side walls and having areas of reduced height along the front wall and at least one of the side walls to provide enhanced access to the infants located within the infant tub, and an insert configured to reversibly fit within an interior of the infant tub.

Devices and methods for a neonate incubator, capsule and cart

Systems and method for positioning a neonate within an imaging device are provided. A capsule incubator, a cart, and a docking incubator are used to move a baby between an imaging device and a incubator, such that a baby can be imagined without having to move the baby from its environment.

Collapsible incubator

A collapsible incubator for an infant, the collapsible incubator comprising: a flexible housing for containing the infant, the flexible housing being configurable between an expanded condition and a collapsed condition; a door within the flexible housing for infant access; a first end portion secured to a first end of the flexible housing; a second end portion secured to a second end of the flexible housing, said second end portion being configured to be substantially opposite said first end portion; and, at least one fastening means configured to releasably secure the first end portion to the second end portion when in the collapsed condition, whereby the first end portion and the second end portion are configured, in use, to support the flexible housing in the expanded condition, and to substantially contain the flexible housing therebetween in the collapsed condition.

Device for aligning and connecting a hood to a housing

A device (4) aligns and connects a housing hood (3) to a housing (2). The device (4) has a first connecting piece (5) and a second connecting piece (6). The first connecting piece (5) has a clamp bearing element (51) and the second connecting piece (6) has a lamella element (61). The lamella element (61) is arranged movably along the clamp bearing element (51). The device (4) has a clamping element (7) for clearance-free clamping the lamella element (61) with the clamp bearing element (51). An alignment of the hood (3) on a housing (2) can be carried out simply and rapidly and requires only weak clamping forces.

Device for receiving a surrendered baby

A system for surrendering a baby includes a receptacle defining a space large enough to contain a baby. The receptacle includes a front located on an exterior wall of a building and an opposing back accessible from the interior of the building. An exterior door is arranged in the front and a second door is located in the back and sized to allow a baby to pass out of the receptacle. The system includes a multi-level alarm system arranged to activate when the baby is placed in the receptacle, the multi-level alarm system including a first alarm that is actuated upon opening of the exterior door and a second alarm that is actuated when the baby is placed in a medical bassinet located in the receptacle. When the exterior door is opened the first alarm sounds and when the baby is placed in the medical bassinet the second alarm sounds.

Incubator

An incubator comprising a mattress tray and a plurality of baby guards surrounding a vicinity of an outer periphery of the mattress tray, wherein: a first baby guard from out of the plurality of baby guards includes a grommet; the first baby guard is detachably attached to a first attachment location installed at a vicinity of the outer periphery of the mattress tray; a second baby guard from out of the plurality of baby guards is detachably attached to a second attachment location installed at a vicinity of the outer periphery of the mattress tray; and the first baby guard is detachable from the first attachment location and attachable to the second attachment location, and the second baby guard is detachable from the second attachment location and attachable to the first attachment location.
