Insert assembly for foaming device
An insert assembly for a foam generating device includes a first insert and a second insert with a channel defined therethrough. Inserts may be formed by two shell halves that are coupleable to one another to define the channel. A plurality of ribs extends along an interior surface of the channel. Pad structures defined by porous media are provided in the channel and gripped by the plurality of ribs. The pads receive cleaning solution passing through the channel and cause foam to be generated by breaking-up the cleaning solution and agitating. The ribs may be arranged horizontally relative to a longitudinal axis of the insert assembly and retain the pads within the device. Inserts may be arranged in series along a longitudinal axis of the foam generating device with the pad structures arranged within the channel.
Single stage clarifier and mixing assembly
A single stage clarifier and mixing assembly includes a housing, a mixing section within the housing and a clarifier section within the housing. The mixing section includes a mixing chamber having (a) an inlet, adapted for delivering an inlet stream to the mixing chamber, at an upper end, and (b) a mixing section outlet at a lower end. The clarifier section extends concentrically around the mixing section. The single stage clarifier and mixing assembly also includes an agitator adapted for mixing the inlet stream in the mixing chamber.
High-flow, high-pressure inline saturator system and method thereof
There is provided an inline saturator system and method for gas exchange with an aqueous-phase liquid. The system includes a pressure vessel, configured to receive a first liquid and a first gas from external sources and to discharge a second liquid and a second gas from the pressure vessel, and a gas infusion device situated within the pressure vessel. The gas infusion device is configured to receive the first liquid and first gas, to facilitate gas exchange therebetween, producing the second liquid and the second gas, and to discharge the second liquid and second gas into the pressure vessel. The system further includes a recirculation system configured to direct a portion of liquid within the pressure vessel back into the saturator device, where injection of the redirected liquid into the gas infusion device forces the first liquid into the gas infusion device for the gas exchange.
Spinning vessel systems and methods for mixing, suspending particulates, aliquoting, washing magnetic beads, and concentrating analytes
Provided herein are apparatuses and systems for mixing liquids and suspensions that include vessels with structures that improve mixing while not contacting liquid delivery components. The apparatuses and systems can include a motor drive that allows speed and directional control of rotation of the vessel. The apparatuses and systems can include one or more magnets for separating magnetic beads in a suspension. Also provided are methods using said apparatuses and systems for mixing and separation processes.
LIQUID AND SLURRY MIXERS
A mixing vessel comprises a top portion (12) on an inverted conical middle portion (14) and a mixing chamber (16) below the middle portion. A launder (28) surrounds the upper part of the top portion. Solution from the launder is led to a vertical pipe (46) including a motor driven impeller (42) down to the level of the mixing chamber. Two vertically spaced feed pipes (46, 48) lead from the vertical pipe to enter the mixing chamber tangentially in opposite directions.
Vortex generator for agitation of fluids during sample preparation
An apparatus, vortex generator assembly and method for automated cell lysis and nucleic acid purification and processing. The vortex generator assembly includes sample holder having a lysis well, at least one wash well, and an elution well. The vortex generator assembly also includes a sample holder cover having a plurality of vibration rods for creating a vortex in the wells of the sample holder. The apparatus includes motor operating a rotating cam to cause the vibration rods to vibrate and create the vortex in a well holding fluid and magnetic beads, wherein the vortexing speed is sufficient to overcome the magnetic attraction between the beads and disperse the beads in solution, to collect nucleic acids such as DNA.
Ultrafine bubble-containing liquid producing apparatus and ultrafine bubble-containing liquid producing method
The present invention provides an ultrafine bubble-containing liquid producing apparatus capable of reducing the possibility of intermitting supply of a UFB-containing liquid. An ultrafine bubble-containing liquid producing apparatus includes producing units that produce an ultrafine bubble-containing liquid containing ultrafine bubbles by using a liquid supplied from a liquid introducing unit and deliver the produced ultrafine bubble-containing liquid to a liquid delivering unit. The producing units include a plurality of ultrafine bubble generating units capable of operating independently. Each of the plurality of ultrafine bubble generating units is provided to be capable of independently switching between communicating with and being disconnected from the liquid introducing unit and the liquid delivering unit.
STIRRER UNIT FOR A FERMENTER IN A BIOGAS PLANT
Agitating device (10) for a digester (1) of a biogas plant (100) having a housing (11) and a driving device (12) for rotatably driving the agitator blades (13-15). The driving device (12) comprises a drive shaft (16) and an electric drive motor (20) wherein the drive motor (20) is accommodated sealed in the housing (11). The drive motor (20) comprises an outer, hollow stator (21) and a rotary rotor (22) which is centrally accommodated therein and is configured at least partially hollow. The rotor (22) is rotatably supported at the housing (11) and comprises a coupling device (23) for non-rotatable coupling with the drive shaft (16) to drive the at least one agitator blade (13-15) by means of the drive shaft (16).
EFFERVESCENT BEVERAGE IN VALVELESS CONTAINER AERATED WITH SPARINGLY SOLUBLE GASES, AND APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
A system is provided having a seal cap assembly that allows for the dissolution of sparingly soluble gases into a base liquid contained with a valveless container having only a single opening closed by a twist cap. The seal cap assembly is placed over the opening to create a sealed chamber around the opening. Sparingly soluble gas is then added to chilled based liquid between the twist cap and the partially closed opening. After agitating the base liquid and gas, the twist cap is fully closed about the opening of the container to seal the opening. The final beverage product includes the valveless container fully sealed by the twist cap and containing a beverage aerated with at least one sparingly soluble gas.
