A custom-tint paint production system that includes a color sensing device such as a low-resolution spectrophotometer to measure color of a preexisting surface color, a color data translation engine to convert the measured values to spectral curve values, and a tint formulation engine to determine a custom tint formulation based upon the spectral curve values, which is usable by a tinter to tint a base coating composition by adding one or more colorants in amounts based on color measurements from the color sensing device.
Method and apparatus for custom blend compositions
A cosmetic preparation system may provide a diagnostic or shade matching tool, a dispenser unit, and a mixer unit. The diagnostic or shade matching tool may identify a user skin type and customize one or more ingredients to create a custom blend composition. The dispenser unit may dispense ingredients and prepare the custom blend composition in containers of various sizes. The mixer unit may provide a mixing assembly to mix the one or more ingredients using gyroscopic mixing.

An exemplary compounding system and method can include a transfer set that includes a manifold for assisting in transferring a plurality of ingredients from supply container(s) to a final container. The manifold can include a first channel in fluid communication with at least one primary ingredient, and a second channel in fluid communication with a plurality of secondary ingredients. The first channel and second channel can be in fluid isolation from each other such that the at least one primary ingredient does not mix with the plurality of secondary ingredients within the manifold. The transfer set can include a plurality of inlet lines in fluid communication with the manifold and two outlet lines configured for connection to two separate pumps and eventually being in fluid communication with the final container.

PUMP CAPABLE OF DISPENSING BOTH A LARGE VOLUME AND A SMALL VOLUME OF COLORANT
A pump capable of dispensing both a large volume and a small volume of colorant comprises a large reciprocating positive displacement pump having a large reciprocating part, a large pump body and a large pump inlet-outlet opening, characterized in that: a small reciprocating part fixed to the large reciprocating part is disposed in the large pump body; a small pump body is disposed on a base of the large pump body, and provided with a small pump inlet-outlet opening; and the small reciprocating part, the small pump body and the small pump inlet-outlet opening constitute a small reciprocating positive displacement pump. The reciprocating positive displacement pump provided in the present invention may achieve dispensing of both a large volume and a small volume of colorant by means of a large-section pump, and thus guarantees the accuracy of the dispensed volume of colorant, and in particular, the accuracy of dispensing of a small volume of colorant; and the reciprocating positive displacement pump, when compared with the prior art, has the advantages of high accuracy and simple structure, and when compared with the structure in patent No. US2009236367A1, has the advantages of good leakproofness, high utilization of a reciprocating pump cylinder body in the length direction, and improved stroke accuracy of the reciprocating pump due to less elastic deformation of a pump support.

PORTABLE CUSTOM COSMETIC PIGMENT DISPENSER
A portable custom cosmetic pigment dispenser creates a cosmetic pigment mixture that closely matches a person's skin color. The device is constructed with a color sensor at one end that scans the skin and records color values in a color space. A processor converts the color values into a colorspace. In one example, a user is presented with a sample of the color as determined by the processor and has an opportunity to accept or modify the color. Specific quantities of colored pigment are selected based on the corresponding weightings in the color space.

An information processing apparatus can communicate with a cosmetic dispenser configured to dispense at least one of a plurality of cosmetics based on recipe information indicating a usage amount of each of the plurality of cosmetics. The apparatus includes a retrieve module configured to retrieve user-unique information unique to the user, the user-unique information including at least one of user attribute information related to the user's attributes, environmental information related to the user's environment, action information related to the user's action, and psychosomatic information related to the user's psychosomatic, skin information related to the user's skin, and information related to cosmetics which the user has used, a selection module configured to select the recipe information based on the user unique information among a plurality of recipe information, and a transmission module configured to transmit the selected recipe information to the cosmetic dispenser.
