Methods of Installing a Flexible Bioprocess Container in a Bioprocessing System
A method of installing a flexible bioprocess container in a bioprocessing system having a rigid housing with an interior compartment and extending between a top and an opposing base. The method includes coupling a first surface of the flexible bioprocess container to a moveable platform positioned within the interior compartment of the rigid housing; coupling a second surface of the flexible bioprocess container to the base of the rigid housing; and moving the movable platform relative to the rigid housing and toward the top of the rigid housing so as to at least partially expand the flexible bioprocess container within the interior compartment of the rigid housing.
Fluid mixing systems including helical mixing assembly with impeller attachment and methods of use
The present set of embodiments relate to a bioproduction system, method, and apparatus for mixing a fluid. The bioproduction mixing system includes an offset helical assembly having a stabilizer and impeller for mixing a fluid within a flexible compartment The bioproduction mixing system is designed for efficient mixing of the fluid and for use with a variety of different impellers that can be located at different locations according to the volume and shape characteristics of the flexible compartment. The bioproduction mixing system is optimized to eliminate stagnation zones while maximizing bulk fluid flow.
Mixer
A mixer for use in combination with a bucket and a drill includes an annular rim sized and configured for selective attachment to the bucket; a mixing extension component, the distal end thereof including blades for mixing one or more liquids in the bucket; an opening on the annular rim, the opening being sized for passage of the mixing extension component; a connector component configured for attachment to the distal end of the mixing extension component; a rim member of the connector component configured for being secured about the interior opening of the annular rim for stabilizing the mixing extension component; a manual rotating component; an adapter component configured to be secured to the connector component; and wherein a user can selectively and interchangeably operate the mixer using the drill and the manual rotating component.
Disposable container and mixing system comprising the container
The present invention relates to a disposable container comprising a side wall, top and bottom, wherein the side wall and the bottom comprise a flexible material, wherein the side wall, top and bottom are joined together to define the container with an interior compartment for keeping a fluid inside the container. The bottom of the container comprises at least one portion of rigid or semi-rigid material comprising a folding means that enables folding of the bottom. Thus an easy way of folding the bottom of the container is provided.
MIXING VESSEL
The present invention relates to a mixing vessel (10) for mixing liquid or fluid filling goods, with a cylindrical vessel wall (12) and a disc-shaped lower vessel bottom (14).
For producing said mixing vessel (10) in an inexpensive way and for enabling its quick preparation for reuse, it is provided according to the invention that the mixing vessel (10) comprises at least four individual, detachably connected vessel components, namely a cylindrical vessel wall (12), a disc-shaped lower vessel bottom (14), a liner bag (16) made of thin-walled synthetic foil which is inserted into said vessel wall, and a clamping ring (18) which connects the disc-shaped lower vessel bottom (14) with the vessel wall (12), whereby said inserted liner bag (16) comprises a cylindrical liner wall (20) and a disc-shaped liner bottom (22), and whereby said liner bag (16) is firmly affixed in the lower area of the cylindrical vessel wall (12) or/and of the disc-shaped lower vessel bottom (14).
Chemical mixer tool for use in a storage drum
A chemical mixer tool for use in a storage drum is described. The chemical mixer tool typically comprises a mixer housing assembly in which one end of a mixer shaft is secured, the distal end of the mixer shaft having at least one collapsible impeller assembly removably attached thereon. The chemical mixer tool is configured to be removably secured to the top portion of the storage drum, with the distal end of the mixing shaft extending into the interior of the storage drum.
FLUID MIXING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE
A fluid mixing system includes a flexible bag having a first end, an opposing second end, and an interior surface bounding a compartment; a retainer coupled to the second end of the flexible bag, the retainer having a retention cavity formed thereon that communicates with the compartment of the flexible bag; and an elongated member having a first end rotatably coupled to the first end of the flexible bag and an opposing second end freely disposed within the retention cavity of the retainer so that the second end of the elongated member can rotate within the retention cavity relative to the retainer.
Disposable container, mixing system and packaging
A bioreactor system and packaging is provided. The bioreactor system includes a vessel for housing biomaterials for processing and a support structure. The vessel includes a flexible material defining a chamber and a mixing system positioned within the chamber. The mixing system includes an agitator for imparting motion and mixing to the contents of the vessel and includes a base affixed to the flexible material at a base section of the chamber, a shaft moveably mounted in the base and extending from the base into the chamber and at least one mixing element mounted to the shaft, the shaft configured to be driven by a motor magnetically coupled to the shaft and external to the lower portion of the chamber. The support structure is connected to the mixing system such that the shaft is moveable therein and configured to cooperate with an external structure to provide support for the shaft.
