Massage motor support apparatus for an adjustable bed
A massage motor support incorporates a frame having an upper frame element and a lower frame element. A support membrane having a central aperture in a web with a securing plate and massage motor engaged through the central aperture is supported in the frame with the web engaged between clamping surfaces on the upper and lower frame elements.
CRADLE FRAME AND STRUCTURE
Embodiments of cradle frames and cushions are described herein. A cradle frame includes a connection assembly, a support assembly, and a gear assembly. The connection assembly is configured to couple the cradle frame to a structure. The support assembly includes two side sections, and a middle section that is curved and positioned substantially between the two side sections. The gear assembly is coupled to the adjustment assembly for controlling the positioning of the support assembly. A cushion has a contoured upper side, and one or more opening in the middle part of the cushion on the underside.
MUSCLE TENSION RELIEF DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Example muscle tension relief devices are provided herein. A muscle tension relief device includes a first base portion extending in a first plane, a second base portion extending in a second plane, and a muscle engagement feature extending generally upwardly. There is a non-zero angle extending between the first plane and the second plane. The device is configured to engage with and relieve tension in a user's iliacus or psoas muscles. The device can transition from a first position resting on the first base portion to a second position resting on the second base portion to cause the muscle engagement feature to change orientation to apply pressure at the proper position on a user's psoas major muscle. The shape of an upper portion of a body of the device and the muscle engagement feature correspond to the shape of a hand, such as that of a physical therapist.
Mattress Cover For A Mattress Providing Rotation Therapy To A Patient
A mattress cover for a mattress providing movement therapy to a patient. A patient support portion covers the upper surface of the mattress, and a bottom portion is coupled to the patient support portion. The mattress cover may substantially encase the mattress. An augmenting feature is associated with a peripheral portion with the augmenting feature adapted to move between a stored configuration, and a deployed configuration in response to increasing thickness of the mattress during the movement therapy. The augmenting feature may include concertinaed material, such as thermoformed plastic, and/or a fold of material coupled to the peripheral portion. The patient support portion and the bottom portion may at least partially overlap and be moveable relative to one another. The mattress cover may be included on a mattress overlay having a patient turning device, or on the mattress supported on a patient support apparatus.
MEDICAL PROCEDURE FACILITATION SYSTEM
A medical procedure facilitation system for use with an operating platform. The medical procedure facilitation system has a pair of assisting arms and lifting arms secured to the operating platform that may swing along a path of rotation. A chain and sprocket mechanism connects the lower end regions of the assisting and lifting arms for communicating a lifting force from the patient to supporting thigh pads that raise a patient's legs.
Removable tabletop with replaceable adhesives
A table is disclosed. The table comprises a table base and tabletop. The table base comprises a top surface with a replaceable adhesive layer attached. The tabletop comprises a first usable side and a second usable side, the first usable side and the second usable side being alternately attached to the replaceable adhesive layer once the adhesive is cut, removed, and replaced. The top surface further comprises a rounded edge that acts to guide the entry of an adhesive cutting wire. The replaceable adhesive layer comprises embedded wire guides that define a cutting zone substantially the width of the cutting wire through the adhesive. The embedded wire guides restrict the cutting wire to the cutting zone while the adhesive is being cut, thereby allowing the first usable side and the second usable side to be alternately attached to the adhesive layer.
HINGE MEMBER AND FOLDABLE STRUCTURE INCORPORATING THE SAME
Hinge members and foldable structures incorporating the same are described herein. A foldable structure includes a section, a brace, and a hinge member attaching to the section to enable the section to move between a folded position and an extended position. The hinge member includes a first bracket and a second bracket that are hingedly joined to each other. The first bracket includes a first flange that is integrally formed and extending from the first bracket. The first brace is attached, between the first flange of the first bracket and a surface of a different structure, to the first hinge member.
LEG ASSEMBLY FOR A MASSAGE TABLE
A massage device includes a leg assembly that extends between a table top assembly and a surface. The leg assembly includes a first leg and a second leg that are coupled to one another. The first leg includes a first leg top that is coupled to the table top assembly, a first leg bottom that is positioned adjacent to the surface, and a first leg body that extends between the first leg top and the first leg bottom. The second leg includes a second leg top that is coupled to the table top assembly, a second leg bottom that is positioned adjacent to the surface, and a second leg body that extends between the second leg top and the second leg bottom. The second leg bottom includes a pair of fork members that are coupled to the second leg body, the fork members being positioned relative to one another to provide a pair of spaced apart contact points along the surface.
ROBOTIC MASSAGE MACHINE AND METHOD OF USE
A robotic massage machine that includes at least one movable robotic arm having a first end effector, a processor that controls the movable robotic arm, a memory, a first body form having at least a first anatomical calibration point, a preprogrammed initial massage path based on the first body form, and a second body form having at least a first anatomical calibration point located in an analogous anatomical location as the first anatomical calibration point of the first body form. The processor is programmed to morph the initial massage path to calculate a calibrated massage path based on the second body form.
Support platform for body treatment
A support platform for body treatment is provided and includes a supporting frame, a resilient pad, a guide passageway, a cushion and a control assembly. The resilient pad is secured to the supporting frame and includes an upper surface positioned opposite the supporting frame. The guide passageway extends from the upper surface and through the resilient pad toward the supporting frame. The cushion includes a lower surface side and is connected to control assembly so that it vertically positions the lower surface side along the guide passageway.
