Provided are a refractory article, an anti-redox coating composition, and a method of manufacturing the refractory article. The refractory article includes: a platinum (Pt)-based substrate; and a coating layer for preventing a redox reaction on a surface of the Pt-based substrate, wherein the coating layer for preventing a redox reaction includes on an oxide basis SiO.sub.2 in an amount of about 40 wt % to about 70 wt %, Al.sub.2O.sub.3 in an amount of about 20 wt % to about 52 wt %, B.sub.2O.sub.3 in an amount of about 3 wt % to about 6 wt %; and CaO in an amount of about 2.4 wt % to about 4.8 wt %.
Port System and Method for an Embalming Machine
An embalming machine for mixing of fluids and cleaning of a reservoir may include a reservoir. The embalming machine may include a tube extending from a lower portion to an upper portion of the reservoir, the tube providing a pathway for fluid to travel to the reservoir. The embalming machine may include a port connected to an end of the tube adjacent to the upper portion of the reservoir, the port being configured to dispense the fluid traveling through the tube and into an interior of the reservoir.
Access Lid for an Embalming Machine
An embalming machine for mixing of fluids and cleaning of a reservoir may include a reservoir. The embalming machine may include a reservoir lid configured to at least partially enclose an upper portion of the reservoir, the reservoir lid including an access hatch integrated into the reservoir lid. The embalming machine may include an access hatch lid integrated into the reservoir lid, the access hatch lid being shaped to overlie the access hatch.
FLOW CELL FOR THE SELECTIVE ENRICHMENT OF TARGET PARTICLES OR CELLS
The present invention relates to the field of micro fluidics. Specifically, the present invention relates to a novel flow cell for the selective enrichment of target particles or cells from a fluid. The flow cell exhibits a novel design which greatly improves the target particle or cell yield. The invention also provides a micro fluidic device, comprising the flow cell according to the invention. In another aspect, the invention relates to the use of a flow cell or a micro fluidic device of the invention for the isolation of target particles or cells from a fluid sample. Finally, the invention relates to a method for the selective enrichment of target particles or cells from a fluid using the flow cell of the invention.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS RELATED TO FLUID PUMPING
Systems for a plastic pump/actuator capable of containing and pumping organic solvents and lubricants and having a more desirable lubricity within the system. The system has at least two cylinders, with plungers therein, oppositely disposed from each other and configured to operably connect to a pump.

AUTOMATED SAMPLE PROCESSING, FLUID DISTRIBUTION, AND SEDIMENTATION ASSAY
The disclosure describes methods and devices with which to process and analyze difficult chemical, biological, environmental samples including but not limited to those containing bulk solids or particulates. The disclosure includes a cartridge which contains a separation tube as well as one or more valves and cavities for receiving raw sample materials and for directing and containing various fluids or samples. The cartridge may contain a separation fluid or density medium of defined density, and structures which direct particulates toward defined regions of the cartridge. Embodiments can include a rotational device for rotating the cartridge at defined rotational rates for defined time intervals. Embodiments allowing multiple assays from a single sample are also disclosed. In some embodiments, this device is used for direct processing and chemical analysis of food, soil, blood, stool, motor oil, semen, and other samples of interest.
Solution making system and method
A solution making system and apparatus are described. The solution maker mixes a chemical or slurry with a solvent to a desired concentration. The concentration of the solution is monitored by one or more methods. Based upon this measurement, the concentration of the solution may be adjusted.
