The system, in one aspect, may further include a mixed storage vessel, as well as a controller in communication with the first dispensing assembly and the second dispensing assembly, the controller programmed to cause the first dispensing assembly to discharge the first amount of the first dry flowable material to the mixed storage vessel and cause the second dispensing assembly to discharge the second amount of the second dry flowable material to the mixed storage vessel over a comparable time period based upon weight based readings the controller receives from first and second load cells.

Liquid mixing system for semiconductor fabrication

A liquid measuring beaker is suitable for measuring an amount of a liquid required in a liquid mixing process. The liquid measuring beaker includes a shell and an adjusting partition. The shell defines a reservoir having a volumetric capacity, in which the shell has a first opening passing through a bottom of the shell. The adjusting partition is vertically movable in the reservoir for adjusting the volumetric capacity, in which the adjusting partition has a second opening passing through the adjusting partition.

System for mixing beverages and method of doing the same

A module includes a housing, a sealing feature, a locking feature, and an agitator. The housing has an opening separating inner and outer surfaces and a boss that extends through the housing such that part of the outer surface forms an inner bore of the boss having a terminus pointing toward the opening. The agitator has a base, a shaft, and a mixing element coupled to the base such that the base, in cooperation with the sealing feature, circumferentially seals the opening of the housing to form a cavity defined by the inner surface. The shaft passes through the inner bore. The locking feature when engaged permits independent or simultaneous translational and rotational movement of the shaft while an area between the terminus of the boss and the shaft remains mechanically sealed during the movement against liquid or powder encroachment into a clean area of the inner bore.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS USING CONCRETE MIX TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

The temperature of concrete can be monitored by a temperature probe. Typically, large volumes of concrete such as are typically carried in mixer trucks or mixed in industrial concrete production drums have a relatively stable, or slowly varying temperature, given the high thermal capacity of concrete. A sudden change in temperature can thus be attributed to an external event. A sudden addition of even a relatively small amount of water for instance, which has an even higher thermal capacity, can produce a notable sudden change in temperature. Examples where the detection of the addition of water can be particularly useful in the production and/or transport of concrete are provided herein. Moreover, if the temperature of the added water is known, and the quantity of concrete is also known, the sudden difference in temperature can be correlated to a volume of added water.
