The invention also relates to a foam which can be produced by such equipment and which advantageously has an expansion coefficient greater than 10.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATED SAMPLE PREPARATION, REACTION AND DETECTION
Cartridges for the isolation of a biological sample and downstream biological assays on the sample are provided, as are methods for using such cartridges. In one embodiment, a nucleic acid sample is isolated from a biological sample and the nucleic acid sample is amplified, for example by the polymerase chain reaction. The cartridges provided herein can also be used for the isolation of non-nucleic acid samples, for example proteins, and to perform downstream reactions on the proteins, for example, binding assays. Instruments for carrying out the downstream biological assays and for detecting the results of the assays are also provided.
FACILITY FOR TREATMENT OF AN AQUEOUS EFFLUENT BY HYDROTHERMAL OXIDATION
The invention relates to a facility for treatment of an aqueous effluent by hydrothermal oxidation, which comprises: a reactor comprising a tube in which the aqueous effluent to be treated flows, the tube of the reactor having a plurality of bends formed by oxidant-injection devices, each oxidant-injection device comprising: a reactor part (32) forming an effluent-circulation channel (35) bent at an angle in which a flow of aqueous effluent can circulate, and an injector part (33) comprising a first opening (49) suitable for being connected to a source of oxidant located outside the effluent-circulation channel (35) and a second opening (50) located in the effluent-circulation channel (35), and a source of oxidant connected to the injector part so as to inject the pressurised oxidant into the flow of aqueous effluent to be treated.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DEVELOPING FORMULATIONS
The various embodiments of the present invention generally relate to an automated apparatus, wherein the automated apparatus is configured to formulate a target entity, thereby developing formulations of the target entity by using a high throughput screening (HTS) procedure and method of employing the presented automated apparatus is also disclosed herein. Other advantages that are understood from the present disclosure will further be apparent to the reader.
Transportation and Delivery of Set-Delayed Cement Compositions
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for the transportation and delivery of set-delayed cement compositions to a well site. A method of cementing may comprise preparing a set-delayed cement composition. The method further may comprise storing the set-delayed cement composition. The method further may comprise transporting the set-delayed cement composition to a well site in a containment vessel. The method further may comprise discharging the set-delayed cement composition from the containment vessel and into a wellbore.

Fuel cell assembly comprising an improved catalytic burner
There is disclosed a fuel cell assembly comprising at least one horizontally arranged fuel cell stack that has numerous fuel cells, each comprising an anode, a cathode and an electrolyte situated between the anode and the cathode; combustible gas supply means for supplying combustible gas to the anodes of the fuel cells; anode gas withdrawal means for withdrawing the anode exhaust gas from the anodes; cathode gas supply means for supplying cathode gas to the cathodes of the fuel cells; cathode gas withdrawal means for withdrawing the cathode exhaust gas from the fuel cells; and recirculation means for recirculating at least one part of the anode exhaust gas and/or the cathode exhaust gas to cathodes of the fuel cells. The fuel cell assembly according to the invention is characterized in that the recirculation means comprise at least one catalytic burner with catalyst material for burning the remaining combustible gas contained in the anode exhaust gas, said burner being situated at the side of the fuel cell stack.
Progressive bubble generating system used in making cementitious foam
A process for producing insulating foam, wherein certain especially small inorganic minerals such as silica fume are directly integrated into bubble fluid to better mechanically strengthen bubbles formed and thus allow the formation of smaller bubbles to be reformed. The manner of reforming the bubbles is progressive and actualized by a glass bead chamber, a second stage consisting of two screened discs, separated from each other and located at the end of the glass bead chamber, and a third stage chamber presenting itself with a considerably enlarged screen area and having considerably finer meshes than the second stage.
System for forming a cosmetic composition
A system forms a cosmetic composition. The system includes a dispensing arrangement in selective fluid communication with a plurality of dispensing dosing receptacles mounted on a movable carousel. The dispensing arrangement is configured to selectively dispense a plurality of the booster compositions together with a base composition corresponding to a formulation corresponding to a compatibility profile and consumer skin conditions to form a stable composition having efficacious concentrations of active ingredients into a receiving receptacle.
Fluid mixing systems with adjustable mixing element
A fluid mixing system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing, the flexible bag having an interior surface bounding a compartment. An impeller is disposed within the chamber of the flexible bag. A drive shaft is coupled with the impeller such that rotation of the drive shaft facilitates rotation of the impeller. A drive motor assembly is coupled with the draft shaft and is adapted to rotate the drive shaft. An adjustable arm assembly is coupled with the drive motor assembly and is adapted to move the drive motor assembly which in turn moves the position of the drive shaft and impeller. An electrical controller can control movement of the adjustable arm.
