A device for detecting postpartum hemorrhage is provided. A mat defines a proximal end and a distal end. The mat is configured to be disposed between a support and a patient and has a surface with a fluid flow region configured to direct flow of bodily fluids from the patient towards the distal end of the mat. A first detachable and optionally sealable bag is configured to receive the bodily fluids from the patient in a first operational mode of the device. A second sealable bag is configured to receive the bodily fluids from the patient in a second operational mode of the device. The second sealable bag comprises a visual volume indicator to measure the bodily fluids collected in the second sealable bag.

The apparatus frame assembly 10 includes rails 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 46, 48, 50, 52 having cross-sections of standard surgical rails, for attachment of slidable rail clamps 84, 104. Medical device mounts 108, 110, 112 are attached to the slidable rail clamps. The medical device mounts have height and/or rotational adjustment to improve patient access and view. The apparatus may be mounted longitudinally anywhere along the litter to maximize access to the patient.

The electromagnetic field generator creates an electromagnetic field that extends through the torso of said human body positioned over the electromagnetic field generator. An ultrasound probe and ablation probe interacts with the electromagnetic field to generate positional information that is processed by a computing device to generate a graphic representation of location information on a display device.

SURGICAL ROBOTICS SYSTEM

A surgical robotics system with robotic arms is configurable to perform a variety of surgical procedures. The surgical robotics system can include a table, column, base, and robotic arms that are either column-mounted, rail-mounted, or mounted on a separate unit. In a column-mounted configuration, the column can include column rings that translate vertically and rotate about the column. The robotic arms are attached to the column rings. In a rail-mounted configuration, the base can include base rails that translate along the base. The robotic arms are attached to the base rails. In both configurations, the robotic arms can move independently from each other and include multiple arm segments. Each arm segment can provide an additional degree of freedom to the robotic arm. Thus, the surgical robotics system may position the robotic arms into numerous configurations to access different parts of a patient's body.

A pad assembly, system and method of securing a patient onto an operating table when the patient is in the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system has characteristics which promote improved securing to eliminate shifting and/or sliding due to gravitational forces when the patient's body is in the Trendelenburg position, as well as promote a secure holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient. The pad assembly and system further has improved channels to allow for drainage of fluids that may otherwise be trapped between the patient's body and the OR Table during the surgical procedure.
