Patient table with lock and unlock device and improved safety arrangements
An imaging apparatus includes a patient table with a gurney and a base. The gurney can slide between two extreme positions, an electrically supplied motoreducer controlled by a control unit causing the table to slide and having a lock/unlock system of the sliding that is mechanical, independent from the electrical supply, and manually controlled by a grabbing organ actuated by a human operator. The patient table may be provided together with a gantry having a housing transparent to light for at least part of its extension, and a control unit of the radiographic apparatus. The housing or a part thereof is associated with a source of light, and the control unit, when the apparatus is electrically supplied, and/or other status conditions are determined by a status sensor, causes the light source to be illuminated and the housing to light up in its translucent parts signalling the status condition.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING AND IDENTIFYING ARCING BASED ON NUMERICAL ANALYSIS
Method and system allowing more accurate detection and identification of unwanted arcing include novel processing of signal voltage representing recovered power-line current. In one implementation, arc-faults are detected based on numerical analysis where individual cycles of line voltage and current are observed and data collected during each cycle is processed to estimate likelihood of presence of arc-event within each individual cycle based on pre-defined number of arc-events occurring within pre-defined number of contiguous cycles. In another implementation, fast transient current spikes detection can be done by: computing difference values between consecutive line-current samples collected over a cycle, average of differences, and peak-to-peak value of line-current; comparing each difference value to average of difference; comparing each difference value to peak-to-peak value; and, based on calculation of composite of two comparisons, using thresholds to determine if arcing is present within processed cycle.
PINLESS LOADING FOR SPINE TABLE
According to the present disclosure, a patient support device includes a patient support top, a support bracket, and a catch assembly that is slidably attached to the support bracket and that is operable to receive a connector of the patient support top.
TREATMENT CHAMBER MADE IN LIGHT-WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION
A treatment chamber, preferably a medical treatment chamber for treating articles, preferably medical articles, devices and equipment, more particularly within the scope of sterilizing processes, including a treatment compartment which is surrounded by a lower wall element, a plurality of lateral wall elements and an upper wall element, wherein the treatment compartment is hermetically sealed or sealable for generating a desired internal pressure therein and can be temperature-controlled for generating a desired internal temperature therein, wherein at least one of the wall elements is formed of at least one hollow chamber section is disclosed.
SURGICAL FLUID RETENTION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A fluid retention device and method of use is defined for retaining surgical fluids used during surgical operations. The device includes a base and a sidewall attached to the base. The sidewall defines a retention area on the base. The sidewall includes a hollow interior that is selectively expanded to raise the sidewall from the base and to define an upstanding perimeter around the retention area. The retention area is sufficient to retain at least one medical personnel and an operating table, supporting a surgical patient. A suction pump may be provided for removing the surgical fluids retained within the retention area and for delivering the fluids outside of the area.
Visualizing scattered radiation in a medical facility
Systems and methods for providing a real time visualization of scattered radiation in a medical facility are provided. A number of visualization devices such as augmented reality (“AR”) tracking devices, electronic displays, or projection devices are in electronic communication with a controller and configured to generate a visualization of scattered radiation. Position data is received from the position sensors associated with individuals in the medical facility, the AR tracking devices, radiation producing medical equipment, or radiation scattering medical equipment, and the visualization is adjusted accordingly.
Medical module including automated dose-response record system
An automated dose-response record system including a module for housing waste-heat producing electronic and electromechanical medical equipment including at least one physiologic monitor, and including a system to measure, temporally correlate and record dose and response events.
Manual drive function for surgical tools
A surgical tool comprising a drive housing having a first end and a second end, a spline extending between the first and second ends, a carriage provided in the drive housing and movable between the first and second ends, and a mechanism for manually actuating the spline. The mechanism may be arranged at the first or second end of the drive housing. The mechanism may further include a frame, a spline coupling rotatably mounted to the frame to receive an end of the spline, and a ring gear rotatable about the frame and operatively coupled to a pinion gear attached to the spline coupling such that rotation of the ring gear about the frame correspondingly actuates the spline.
Lateral Hip And Leg Stretching Machine And Methods For Using The Same
A stretching machine includes a table having a surface for supporting a patient and a first leg rest for supporting and moving a first leg of the patient. The first leg rest has a first vertical frame operable to rotate around a first horizontal pivot point at an end of the table and a first horizontal frame operable to rotate around a first vertical pivot point on the first vertical frame. A first vertical actuator is for rotating the first vertical frame around the first horizontal pivot point to move the first leg rest in a vertical direction relative to the surface of the table, and a first horizontal actuator is for rotating the first horizontal frame around the first vertical pivot point to move the first leg rest in a horizontal direction relative to the first vertical frame.
MEDICAL SYSTEMS INCORPORATING PULLEY SHARING
A robotic system can include a surgical instrument with a wrist that allows N degrees of freedom of movement. The N degrees of freedom can be controlled by N+1 cable segments. The wrist can include a first set pulleys configured to rotate about a first axis and a second set of pulleys configured to rotate about a second axis. The wrist can further comprise one or more pulleys configured to engage two of the cable segments, wherein at least one of the pulleys is shared by a first cable segment and a second cable segment. The first cable segment and the second cable segment that share the pulley can be independent from one another. In some circumstances, the surgical instrument can be actuated N+1 degrees of movement by advancing or retracting at least two of N+1 cable segments.
