Mixing device having a container rotatable about container axis, with emptying opening being arranged in the bottom thereof, rotatable mixing tool arranged in the interior of the container, and closure element for closing the emptying opening. The closure element can be pivoted about a pivot axis for opening and closing the emptying opening. With the emptying opening closed, the closure element has inner surface arranged within the container, outer surface arranged outside the container, and edge surface arranged opposite an edge surface of the emptying opening. The closure element, emptying opening and pivot axis are of such a configuration and arrangement that a point arranged furthest away from the pivot axis on the inner surface or the edge surface describes a circle in the pivotal movement, wherein the closure element is arranged within the circle and the edge surfaces of the emptying opening are arranged outside the circle.

A mixing screw is mounted at a bottom of the mixing chamber for mixing materials within the mixing chamber and delivering mixed materials to an outlet feeding a processing line. MULTI-STAGE STIRRED REACTOR HAVING REDUCED BACK MIXING

The present invention relates to a multistage stirred reactor, comprising a multiplicity of mutually adjacent reaction chambers and stirring elements for mixing the contents of at least one of the reaction chambers, wherein, between adjacent reaction chambers, there is in each case provided at least one opening that can be closed by means of closure means, such that in the open state there is a fluidic connection between the adjacent reaction chambers and in the closed state the adjacent reaction chambers are separated from one another. At least one of the closure means (300, 310, 320) is connected to an actuation rod (500, 510, 520) that is guided out of the stirred reactor. The actuation rod (500, 510, 520) can be moved back and forth between at least one first position and a second position, by rotation and/or displacement, wherein in the first position closure means (300, 310, 320) that are connected to the actuation rod (500, 510, 520) effect an open state of the opening assigned to them and in the second position closure means (300, 310, 320) that are connected to the actuation rod (500, 510, 520) effect a closed state of the opening assigned to them.

Due to the cooperation of the barrel bodies, the sleeve and the stirring assembly, the stirring assembly can effectively scrape attachments on the inner walls of the barrel bodies, and a first stirring blade in the sleeve and a second stirring blade in the stirring assembly are cooperated to stir, gather and further disperse and disarrange the material, such that the material can be mixed more uniformly.
