CAPSULE-BASED FOOD PRODUCT BLENDING AND DISPENSING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A sealed capsule for blending and dispensing an initially solid food product holds a blending component with embedded food product. Actuating the blending component through an electronic control system causes the food product to be blended within the capsule. One or more feedback control mechanisms are used to guarantee a desired consistency of the blended food product. Provided are structural features of the capsule, and methods of using its contents to blend and dispense soft-serve products.
Device and method for the treatment of FORSU
Herein proposed is a device (45) with a first module (10) for the production of a heterogeneous mixture of FORSU which, after the removal of the most coarse inerts, is droppedby gravityin an underlying second module (46), in which along the three chambers (47, 52, 54) in succession to the heterogeneous mixture of FORSU there are collected the further residue coarse inerts as well as the finest and heaviest inerts and there is obtained a mixture with matrix homogenised substantially in the liquid state and thus dischargeable by pumping reliably. In the device (45) the first module (10) is mounted on the underlying second module (46) through the interposition of load cells (59). With the proposed device the FORSU in the liquid state may be pumped directly in an anaerobic digestor thus avoiding an intermediate transport thereof.
Mixing and conveying facility for dry building materials from a supply silo
The invention relates to a mixing and conveying system for dry mortar materials. The dry mortar materials can be obtained from a storage silo (1) through an openable closure panel (3). A pipe (17), in which a drivable screw conveyor (4) is mounted, is arranged under the closure panel (3). The pipe (17) leads into a mixing and buffer container (18), in which a coil (20) is rotatably mounted on a central axis (19). The mixing and buffer container (18) has a volume which equals at least 1.5-times the minute capacity of the pump-screw conveyor (14). It is thus ensured that the dry mortar material is mixed therein with the added water for at least 90 seconds or longer. The mixing and buffer container (18) leads into a pipe (15) at the bottom having a pump-screw conveyor (14) which conveys the mixed mortar into a hose (5). The pump-screw conveyor (14) can be allowed to run backward. The coil (20) runs continually such that the mortar is constantly agitated to prevent setting.
Apparatus, system and method for providing a bitumen-rich stream from bitumen-containing materials
Method and apparatus to facilitate recycling of at least one fraction of bitumen-containing materials. This can be accomplished by dissolving the at least one fraction, for example, maltenes or asphaltenes in roofing shingles, into at least one solvent. In one aspect, the apparatus comprises a dissolution vessel, a tumbler positioned therein, and at least one solvent distributor. The tumbler is configured to facilitate wetting the bitumen-containing materials with solvent. In a second aspect, a system comprises the apparatus, a solid-liquid separator, for example, a vibratory screen, and at least one solvent-fraction separator, for example, a flash drum. The at least one solvent can comprise one or more solvents useful to extract the at least one fraction. In a third aspect, a first fraction is extracted from the bitumen-containing materials with a first solvent composition, then a second fraction is extracted from the remaining bitumen-containing materials with a second solvent composition.
MANUAL MIXER
A manual mixer serves to facilitate mixing and agitating materials for use during surgery. The manual mixer includes a mixing assembly and an actuation assembly for actuating the mixing assembly. The mixing assembly includes at least a paddle portion and a plunger portion. The plunger portion is simultaneously capable of rotational movement with the paddle portion and movement upwardly or downwardly along the paddle portion. Rotation of the paddle portion serves to facilitate mixing and agitating of the materials, and downward movement of the plunger portion serves to facilitate dispensing of the materials from the manual mixer.
Cartridge for stirring and dispensing a fluid, automatic analyzer and method of analyzing a biological sample
A cartridge for dispensing a fluid is provided, the cartridge comprising: a reservoir chamber configured for receiving the fluid, the reservoir chamber having a fluid outlet and a cover with a first bearing; and a stirring assembly comprising a stirrer located inside the reservoir chamber, the stirring assembly comprising a shaft connected to the stirrer. The stirring assembly can be moved between first and second positions, wherein in the first position the stirring assembly can seal the fluid outlet, the stirring assembly in the first position being configured to form a second bearing with the reservoir chamber or the fluid outlet such that the stirrer can be rotated about an axis defined by the first and second bearing, and wherein if the stirring assembly is in the second position the fluid can pass through the fluid outlet, the shaft being configured to transmit rotational power to the stirrer.
Paddle, paddle rail, mixer shaft for a mixer, mixer and method for mixing
A paddle (30), a paddle rail (20), a mixer shaft (10) for a mixer (1), a mixer (1) and a method for mixing a product to be conditioned in a mixer (1). As the mixer (1) starts up, a product to be mixed is retained in a starting region of the mixer shaft (10), for instance, until the desired mixing or conditioning is achieved, so that loss-free start-up is made possible. That is to say disposal or recycling of the product when the mixer starts up becomes unnecessary.
STIRRER COMPRISING TWO ROTATING SHAFTS HAVING INTERSECTING STIRRING BLADES CAPABLE OF ROTATING SYMMETRICALLY AND ROTATING IN IDENTICAL DIRECTION AND STIRRING METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a stirrer for stirring a raw material such as flour or meat. Two rotating shafts are installed inside the stirrer such that stirring blades intersect with each other. The two rotating shafts are controlled to simultaneously rotate symmetrically or to rotate in the same direction, and the stirred raw material is discharged through a side surface of a stirring tank of the stirrer. The rotating shafts having the stirring blades fromed thereon are connected to a driving means that can adjust the phase angle of the two shafts, via a position control device. The raw material is stirred while relative positions are adjusted such that the stirring blades formed on the two rotating shafts do not interfere with each other.
Telescoping plunger assembly
A bone filler mixing and delivery device includes a mixing section adapted to mix components to form bone filler. A syringe barrel is coupled to the mixing section and has an opening through which the bone filler can be dispensed. A controllable portal can be manipulated to open a flow path between the mixing section and the syringe barrel. A plunger assembly is adapted to extend telescopically in an axial direction through the syringe barrel to dispense the bone filler through the opening.
