Atomization processes for manufacturing a metal powder or an alloy powder having a melting point comprising of about 50 Celsius to about 500 Celsius are provided herein. In at least one embodiment, the processes comprise providing a melt of a metal or an alloy having said melting point of about 50 Celsius to about 500 Celsius through a feed tube; diverting the melt at a diverting angle with respect to a central axis of the feed tube to obtain a diverted melt; directing the diverted melt to an atomization area; and providing at least one atomization gas stream to the atomization area. The atomization process can be carried out in the presence of water within an atomization chamber used for the atomization process. In at least one embodiment, the processes provide a distribution of powder with an average particle diameter under 20 microns with geometric standard deviation of lower than about 2.0.

Cryogranulation systems with improved dispenser assemblies are provided for use in manufacturing frozen pellets of pharmaceutical substances in a fluid medium. Methods of cryogranulating the pharmaceutical substance in the fluid medium are also provided. In particular embodiments, the dispenser assembly is used with suspensions or slurries of pharmaceutical compositions including biodegradable substances, such as proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids. In certain embodiments, the pharmaceutical substance can be adsorbed to any pharmaceutically acceptable carrier particles suitable for making pharmaceutical powders. In one embodiment, the pharmaceutical carrier can be, for example, diketopiperazine-based microparticles. The dispenser assembly improves the physical characteristics of the cryopellets formed and minimizes product loss during processing.

The present disclosure provides a system and method for granulating and molding silicon liquid. The system includes a silicon liquid transferring device, wherein cooling system and a lifting system matching with the cooling system are provided below the silicon liquid transferring device. The silicon liquid transferring device transfers smelted silicon liquid to a position above the cooling system, uniformly pours the silicon liquid into the cooling system according a set flow to enable the silicon liquid to be solidified into silicon pellets, and then the molded silicon pellets are extracted by the lifting system, solving the problem in the prior art of irregular molding and inconsistent size of silicon blocks caused by pouring. A container bottom and a diversion pipe are set to be of detachable structures, and can be quickly disassembled and assembled as vulnerable parts without affecting the production.
