METHOD AND REACTOR FOR PRODUCING ONE OR MORE PRODUCTS
A feedstock gas, such as natural gas, is introduced into a mixing chamber. A combustible gas is introduced into a combustion chamber, for example simultaneously to the introduction of the feedstock gas. Thereafter, the combustible gas is ignited so as to cause the combustible gas to flow into the mixing chamber via one or more fluid flow paths between the combustion chamber and the mixing chamber, and to mix with the feedstock gas. The mixing of the combustible gas with the feedstock gas causes one or more products to be produced.
Initiator injection into high pressure LDPE reactors
Methods for operating a high pressure olefin polymerization reactor include the steps of introducing an initiator stream containing ethylene and an initiator compound through an initiator nozzle into the reactor, introducing an olefin stream containing ethylene and an optional comonomer through an olefin nozzle into the reactor, and polymerizing ethylene and optionally the comonomer in the presence of the initiator stream in the reactor under high pressure polymerization conditions to produce an ethylene polymer. The amount of ethylene in the initiator stream is from 0.01 to 2 wt. % of the amount of ethylene in the olefin stream. An injection nozzle that can be used in conjunction with the high pressure reactor also is described.
Retractable Center Feed Injection Device
A retractable center feed injection device can be employed to feed residual oil into a coke drum as part of a delayed coking process. The retractable center feed injection device can include a housing within which the injection nozzle slides between an extended and a retracted position. A feed inlet is positioned on an opposite side of the coke drum from the retractable center feed injection device. When in the extended position, the injection nozzle can couple with the feed inlet and thereby form an extension of the feed inlet into the center of the coke drum. In this way, the residual oil never flows through the housing.
CATALYTIC DECOMPOSITION REACTORS
A catalyst bed includes a structure defining a plurality of channels configured to receive flow of fluid to be chemically catalyzed. The plurality of channels are oriented at least partially non-parallel to an overall flow direction of the flow from inputs of the plurality of channels to outputs of the plurality of channels. A catalyst is exposed at an exterior of the structure.
Hydrothermal synthesis device and method of preparing cathode active material using the same
Disclosed is a hydrothermal synthesis device for continuously preparing an inorganic slurry using a hydrothermal method. The hydrothermal synthesis device includes a mixer to mix at least one precursor solution for preparing an inorganic material, injected via at least one supply tube, to prepare an intermediate slurry, a connection tube provided at a side of the mixer, continuously discharging the prepared intermediate slurry to a reactor, and having a hydrophobic coating on an inner surface of a portion thereof adjacent to the reactor, and the reactor performing hydrothermal reaction of the intermediate slurry supplied from the connection tube by receiving a liquid stream heated to supercritical or subcritical conditions using a heat exchanger and connected to the connection tube into which the intermediate slurry prepared from the mixer is introduced and to at least one injection tube into which the heated liquid stream is injected.
PROCESS FOR SEPARATING COMPONENTS OF A POLYMER-MONOMER MIXTURE OBTAINED BY HIGH-PRESSURE POLYMERIZATION OF ETHYLENICALLY UNSATURATED MONOMERS
A process for separating polymeric and gaseous components of a polymer-monomer mixture at a pressure of from 0.12 MPa to 0.6 MPa and a temperature of from 120° C. to 300° C. in a separation vessel is provided. The separation vessel has a vertically arranged cylindrical shape with a ratio of length to diameter L/D of from 0.6 to 10 and an inlet pipe capable of introducing the polymer-monomer mixture into the separation vessel which the inlet pipe extends vertically from the top of the separation vessel into the separation vessel. Further a process for preparing ethylene homopolymers or copolymers from ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of free-radical polymerization initiators at temperatures from 100° C. to 350° C. and pressures in the range of from 110 MPa to 500 MPa comprising such a process for separating a polymer-monomer mixture is provided.
REACTOR FOR THE DEPOSITION OF POLYCRYSTALLINE SILICON
Reflective silver coatings on the inside surfaces of a Siemens reactor for polycrystalline silicon production are improved by a cold forming after-treatment of the silver coating.
Reactor system for the production of high value chemical products
The invention is directed to a chemical reactor (100) having (a) two or more gas reactor elements (12) with each gas reactor element (12) having (i) a first reaction chamber (38), and (ii) a feed assembly unit (36), (b) a second reaction chamber (20) coupled with each of the two or more gas reactor elements (12) and configured to independently receive two or more product streams from the two or more gas reactor elements (12); and optionally, (c) a gas converging section (40) located downstream to the second reaction chamber (20). The invention is further directed to a method of producing chemical products using the chemical reactor (100) of the present invention.
EQUILIBRIUM APPROACH REACTOR
An equilibrium approach reactor with the ability to receive a highly variable gas and normalise it to a useful quality, and further to utilise the energy from the gas itself to robustly elevate the operating temperature, to ensure good mixing and high conversion while having the ability to handle solids in multiple states.
HIGH TEMPERATURE MULTIPHASE INJECTION DEVICE
The present invention relates to a multiphase injection device suitable for use in a high-temperature process environment, comprising a nozzle and a plurality of passageways in the nozzle, wherein the plurality of passageways comprises a primary passageway and at least one secondary passageway. The passageways are operable to simultaneously inject respective process media into a reactor at different angles relative to each other.
